Good Lord! I can't think of many cars that would be worse to buy as a project than a 928.

That's definitely one of those cars where you need to buy the best one you can afford. I'd even add the caveat that if you can't afford the best one, don't buy one.

The prices just don't justify fixing one up.

It has zero to do with what I can afford, I have very nice sorted cars, I’m looking for a project that’s all.

Stripped frunk, added Jim Tooth conards, added Rennline vent, replaced hood struts... ran outa time so next I need to sort out this front lip situation (armadillo took out the maxton front lip) then install new center radiator mount and duct to properly vent out the top

Don't be afraid of a 928 project.

Mine looked like this

Before it looked like this

and the 928 group here knows everything about these cars and is super willing to help.

Dude that’s beautiful!!! And a hell of an awesome project, nice job!
Thanks for the encouragement , I've been looking for the right one for a few months, more actively now that the Turbo is all sorted.

If anyone is interested, here are the routes that the tour Joe (and Wayne Smith) are experiencing:

Day 1
Day 2
Day 3
Day 4

Joe: I'm looking forward to the trip report. In the meantime, how about some more images?!

PS I did not nothing with my 997 as I've been in Montreal for a week of work and some spectating at the Montreal F1!

I think that deserves a DIY how to. I mean, you could have put a tire gauge or even chop sticks in that slot, but you chose a pen and it even looks like an after market pen. At least I don't see a Porsche crest unless you were just trying not to be ostentatious and twisted it out of view.

Lol...it’s just a cheap pen. And you may be right...maybe it’s for a tire pressure gauge or a set of chop sticks in case your local takeout forgot to include them in the bag.

I can't believe you would offend your Porsche with anything but a $100 Porsche pen in that place. The insincerity of some people. LOL
