I took my 2009 997.2 C4S to my local independent shop for it's ten-year service at 34,000 miles. They changed the oil and filter, flushed the cooling system, flushed the brake and clutch hydraulic system, replaced the plugs and coil-packs, and replaced all eight axle boots. One front boot started throwing grease recently and a second front boot started a couple of days before the appointment. So, I had them all replaced.
Nice!!! I'm with you the time is just as important as the milage.Did they do transmission, AWD controller and diff fluids too?
Technically, those are 12 year, 120,000 mile services. I will have those done in two years at around 40,000 miles.
I agree your low milage the car can wait 2 years.Just did the 12 year service on my friend David's turbo with 64K post #32. Not sure how it would last until 108k as they recommend. https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...9#post15839359 All-Wheel Drive Controller Oil every 6 years
Took my car into RAC Performance in Carrollton Texas and had them flush the brake fluid. I also scheduled catch up maintenance 2 weeks from now for everything due at 6 years. They were great and even gave me a hands on demo in removing and replacing center lock wheels. I feel confident now if the occasion should be needed. I like this shop a lot and trust them. They are more interested in owners having a great Porsche experience rather than trying to get you at every turn. Another big plus of being there - especially for a short 60 minutes or less job is looking around at all of the other Porsche's there. They really have an incredible selection.
With 380mm PCCB fronts I never thought I'd get brake envy but these 410s on a 2019 Porsche 911 GT3 RS (4 liter) definitely caught my eye.
Gorgeous! Would look even better with clear stone guards though
I thought they would look cool with the duck, as mentioned adding to the retro look. I originally ordered gloss to match my painted mirrors and front lip but they were out of stock and taking too long so I changed the order to matte just to have them for my road trip. Turns out they arrived the day after I left anyway and wound up with a couple small chips that would have been protected. I'll likely leave them off most of the time and only throw them on for road trips and track days.
I replaced my busted frunk release switch with a spiffy new one. I then proceeded to take the car on a test run to verify it was installed and operating properly.....
Drove it...enjoyed it, and put the darned front license plate on as required. If I just had to pay a fine when I got caught I would be ok.....but it's worse here so I got the tow hook mount. Don't like it!
At least now I don't have to do the duck n tuck behind cars when I see a cop. All good now...I can within the speed limit pull right up and make them wish they were driving. I guess my city must have no problems when front plates are an issue.

Are they really that strict up there North of the border? You're supposed to have them here in California as well however I just refuse to ruin the beautiful body lines on this or any other of my vehicles. I've never been pulled over for it. And unless they impose the same law in all 50 states (which they do NOT), then screw them.
I suppose if I HAD to do it, I would also utilize the tow hook plate holder as well. Great looking car.
Normally I see a cop a couple times a month and I have an extremely clean driving rec. Were talking 20 years no accidents/tickets. Well now I got a ticket last year for a BS 18 km (10mph) over, and another of the same about a month ago. Now I'm in threat of review!
So i just do as the man tells me.
Nice cars are all good but if you have your Lic. pulled...
And they always make sure to tell you to Pleeeeeesse be safe.....well you know where I'm escalating.

I have driven it for a couple years with no plate....can't afford that now just in case.
