Wife took her car to the dealer for regular service and they found a rat's nest in the air filter! No rats, though. She said, "No WONDER I've been coughing on my way to and from work!"
We just had a high-end exterminator out (complete exam of room and crawl space) who set traps, filled holes, etc., so with luck this won't happen again.

A quick spray detail to look good for PCA event. Parked between two Prii. Had to snap a pic!

Probably like many here, the 911 that fascinated me as a kid, the one that first drew me to Porsche, was the 2.7 RS. I was mesmerized by the looks/graphics of that car, well before I was old enough to understand how great it was dynamically, etc.
Most of the time, I subscribe to the "less is more" school of thinking, with these cars. That said, I think certain cars can look great with a measured amount of graphics. I really like the modest decals of the 997 GTS. To me, they're just the right amount of adornment.
A while back, I got the idea to combine my love for both the renowned 2.7 RS and the 997 GTS. I have a friend who does the graphics for many well known collectors. His products are seen as being as good as, or even higher quality than, what comes from Porsche's own shops. When I contacted him about this, he told me that he happened to have a NOS example of the "Carrera RS" script that went on the 2.7 RS's famed ducktail spoiler, like this one:

Working together, we drew directly from his NOS example, and developed a version of — really an homage to — that famous decal, to replace the decals on my 997 GTS's doors. These are renderings, but I will soon have the real ones for my car, which will look like this:
![](https://i955.photobucket.com/albums/ae35/Dixans/GTS%20Side%20Decal%2001%20no%20guides_zpsibzhg6lv.jpg)
I think the old-school script works with the modern GTS detailing surprisingly well. To me, it looks like the car could have come with these decals:

Although I'm a bit nervous about removing the original decals from my car, I've already ordered a set of OEM replacements, and I'll be sure to make a template before taking them off. As they are just stickers, it will be very easy to revert back to original, at any time, should I tire of the new look. Anyway, it's just for fun, and I'm very happy with how they've turned out.
I'll be posting photos of my actual car after I receive the new decals next week. If anyone is interested in a set for their own car, please PM me here. I will have a few extra sets from this initial batch. I'm sure my friend can produce more, later on, if the demand is there.

David, that looks like fun! Beautiful scenery, too!
Today, I installed Bridgestone Potenza S-04 tires all around. Then I took a drive and put about 60 miles on them, to hopefully get rid of the slick stuff, just in time for autocrossing tomorrow for the first time in the C4S. Should be fun! Oh and the tires are SOOOO much quieter than the OEM Pirelli P-Zero set. I can hear the engine much better now!

Took a road trip ... Jacksonville FL to Savannah GA and back ... with some local Porsche club folks. Visited a couple of amazing tuner shops in Savannah, had a wonderful lunch and enjoyed a much fast return trip as I we all decided to drive at our own pace heading home.

Took it on a 150 mile joy ride. Woke up distracted by work. Took my usual ride anyway. Kept taking wrong turns, so ended up going through rather than around our little burg. Once I got on the back road I was looking for, engaged Sport Plus, and couldn't remember WTF my problem was! Bring Monday on, I'm ready! ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Changed the oil in my 09 4S Cab. 8 qts. No problems except one finding a 36mm socket. Went to Harbor Freight, Walmart and found it at SEARS. Old reliable Sears. $10. Don't forget to wrap some tape around the top of the oil cap so you don't mark it up.
