I finally cleaned and vacuumed out my side radiators, and was amazed at how much crap I've collected... Mostly leaves and small rocks, but I also pulled out a cigarette butt, something that resembled a very old Kleenex, and a few feathers (funny, I don't remember hitting a bird)
Here's what I pulled out by hand, and the vacuum sucked out a ton of rocks, so NEXT weekend I am instilling the side grills to match my Zunsport center grill
You can actually see a cigarette butt in this pile
I was bad. I walked by the 997S and over to the 356C and took it to the Cars and Coffee event.
Got to see a 1917 Stanley Steamer starting up! Not the best automobile for drought stricken California today....it uses 1 gallon of water for every mile! The water tank is 24 gallons. Not many creeks to dip from! Bob contacted Jay Leno for assistance getting it started--and Jay came through!
I installed the hardtop receptors getting it ready for the hardtop I bought on ebay. It has the new screw in locking bolts so I ordered the receptors from Suncoast. About $320 for both right and left.

Dartmouth how difficult was this install? I need to do the same, and the receptors have been sitting on a box on my shelf for several months now. There's a good thread here about doing this (author was retrofitting a 996 top), but I haven't actually tried it myself...
Funny, I'm coming down to the short this weekend -- wanna do my install? (Kidding of course.)
