Unlike Wayne - I'm embracing "The Dirty Frog" look - last night, I came out to find someone had spelled WASH ME! on my decklid hahaha - these kids today... - I've decided to leave it on there for a minute because it's actually pretty funny.

Drove up and over the mountain before work this morning - we had a washout on a particularly epic stretch of canyon on the 1, which has actually made the road fantastic: Since the closure, the tourist perception is that the road doesn't 'go anywhere' anymore, so no one drives on it. It's pretty much both lanes all yours out and back - save for a few other Porsches and motorcycles who have also discovered this wonderful phenomenon.

(word to the locals: I have seen CHP patrolling the route in pairs - so keep your eyes up.)

and a couple pix from the morning run -

BlueChip - your car looks fantastic all clean! - I may have to wash mine this week! hahaha - In the meantime still loving the new headers, and tune - looking into the DSC box by TPC Racing, as well as the Eibach pro-kit and some sways. Maybe first week of January... let's see what happens.

Also, I do like those plasti-dipped wheels with the white porsche lettering on the throwinbombs turbo. I'm not traditionally a black-wheel lover, but the matte finish looks slick with the white lettering. Very cool!

Good move!

We were getting ready to send out the ballots to all paying Members to determine if you should stay or go.

Gave her a proper cleaning. Picture is from Nov. when she underwent a restorative detail by The Last Detail in Las Vegas. So incredibly easy to maintain perfected paint, wheels, plastics etc once everything has been sealed. Gotta love Opti-Coat, does wonders even with over 60k miles on the odo!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Hi Comanche_699,

Thanks for liking the Plasti Dip on the wheels.

Beautiful drive before a work day, awesome you get that!

Merry Christmas to you and the entire Rennlist Forum

Merry Christmas everyone!

I installed a leather ignition key bezel and a leather headlight switch bezel in place of the factory plastic pieces.

Installed new speedster type black stone guards to replace my 2 year old yellowing clear ones. Bought them on eBay for $35. I was a little hesitant to do it myself at first but after a local guy quoted $310 (??!!?? I had paid about $120 for guards and installation about 2 years ago) to install them for me I went ahead and just did it myself. Not a bad process at all and I really didn't have any issues with bubbles. So far I like the look.

I was let off the leash (tongue firmly in cheek, sweetheart!) and pointed the 997 south and north (with a let's do the Eucalyptus stretch one more time!) on CA 1 just north of SF.

I ran into a "Dirty Frog" (aka Comanche_699's beautiful-Cab-which-makes-all-other-vehicles-sound-like-a-Prius...yup, mine also!) and we had a blast north and then up Inverness Ridge!

Not much time for pics but here are a few...make it a fine last week of 2014 and best wishes for a healthy, peaceful, prosperous and many enjoyable ticks on the ODO 2015!

That was blast David, and a toast to Joe & his GTS in-absentia - we thought of you Joe, and our solution for "The Spontaneity Problem" is we think you should just move up here!

Meantime, I bathed the dirty ol' frog & picked up a new helmet & balaclava at the Wine Country Motorsports sale yesterday.

Good times!
