Indoor arena for hockey, concerts, etc. and not an open stadium for football, soccer, etc.? Just curious.

Indoor for hockey and concerts. The arena is just one part of a large downtown revitalization project. The idea is to have something akin to the LA Live area, and the similar project in Columbus, with hotel, casino, community area, condos, office tower, etc and of course all of the restaurants, bars and other shops that will spring up.

When I took the photos, I was just to the left in the very first picture of that gallery. If you go to just rogersplace.com, and look for 'renderings' you can see what the finished product is supposed to look like - in about another year or so, in time for the 2016-2017 hockey season.

Artist's rendering for new arena looked spectacular. I had the pleasure of visiting Edmonton in the summer for work some years back. Nice city. Having lived in North Dakota, I can imagine how early it must get dark there in the winter. Enjoy that gorgeous 911 while the sun's shining!

Default What did you do to your 997 today?

Installed bilstein B16 damptronics coilovers.

Not sure where I left off on my updates because of The Parse Error Outbreak of 2015 has really cut my Rennlist activity/usage by about 90%.

The "new" GT forum reader app hasn't really captured my heart either... But my mod list is basically complete now.

• 7/15mm spacers
• Eibach sway bars front & rear
• GT3 throttle body
• Competition intake Plenum
• Evoms CAI
• TPC racing pasm controller w/ 3 axis
• Fabspeed equal length headers
• Fabspeed 200 cel x-pipe
• Fister D sport mufflers
• Numeric short shift kit
• Protomotive custom tune
• Bilstein B16 coilovers

I got about a 1" drop, which I was actually concerned about, I love a flush car but skeptical about the ride around here, or for how/where I drive, but it was a compromise. I'm glad I did it. Car looks great & now handles like a freak.

Mostly I've been just driving & trying to keep her clean without turning on the garden hose this season...

Good times.

15mm were way too wide for my car. What wheel tire package are you running?

Numeric comp shift, cables and mounts are on my wish list. How do you like it?

Car paint was corrected and then coated. Very happy with how the car turned out.

The detailer was also kind enough to provide me with these pictures that were taken during the process:

I have the regular old Carrera Classics, 5 spoke style, running stock spec 295's in the rear. I think they could even bump out a little more.

I'm on a narrow body C2S - if I could search the forums easily enough on mobile like the old days I'd show you the fitment, but totally over it. Haha

If you want to see I did post a thread with photos back when I did the spacers.

I love the numeric shifter but do need to make a cable adjustment when I have some free time. First was awesome for about 3 weeks, and know it's a little finicky like it was with the stock shifter.

I may take a few pics this weekend and post just to show the fitment and drop.

OKay, I have a C2S running 305s on 11.5" wide Carrera Sport wheels. That must be why. 8mm on front worked well.

Good info on the Numeric. I think if I do it, I will do the whole package.

Thanks for the response!

beautiful c4s… although how come the 4S has standard non-S exhaust tips?

Bought a pair of used non-S tips and replaced the originals.
I am part of the minority that thinks the oval tips look better.

My dearly departed grandpa was a Canuck -- his father rode the Canadian version of the transcontinental railroad after arriving from London, to Victoria.

I've been to Victoria, and Toronto (bootstrapping on my wife's business trip) but nowhere else in Canada. Banff, Montreal, and many other locations on my bucket list!

Maybe even Edmonton ...................

Edmonton is the most northern, largest city/metropolitan area in the world, apparently. So, summers are short (but the summer days are long), and winters are long, so we love our hockey. Not a major tourist city, but if you have business in the northern part of the province, ie. oil and gas, you will likely stop here, and thus basically all of the industry here is focused on servicing the oil and gas industry. I grew up here, but have traveled across the world. It's home, wouldn't have it any other way. The mountains are a few hours' drive away, you will certainly love Banff, Canmore and Jasper and the lovely Canadian Rockies. I have family in Vancouver, and the drive down there through the BC interior is a well worn path for me.

Wow Dan ... done with mods? Really? That car handled freakishly well with you behind the wheel before. I don't know who will keep up with you now!!! We need another group ride soon.

Out of curiosity, what do you think about the TPC controller. That's the one thing I'm seriously debating on my ride. I feel too much side roll in the turns that tends to unspring uncomfortably on the exit. I've played with my driving style and reduced it a lot but it is still there. I'm hoping the TPC DCS is a solution and am interested in your thoughts. Thanks.

PS: These errors have kept my participation here spotty at best as well. Hope you get this message, or we meet up again soon.

Great pics of the detailing.

Regarding the exhaust tips; I also like the oval tips. They somehow suit the lines of the rear very well. I have mine in black and really like them.
