BTW, to correct the issue of low volume and muddled sound. I had installed a new DSP amp and removed all the most25 components. Took out the bose amp and the nav. Installed an audiotech Fischer match amp. Wired to the HIFI speaker outputs of the rear of the pccm. smile could not be any wider!

Is the bezel removable to have painted?
What post # is the hack for putting a usb through the back to add a wireless carplay adapter? Can't seem to find it.

That is correct. I did see where someone had opened the unit up and installed a USB port on the back to add a wireless bluetooth adapter. Pretty cool, but I don't think would have the skills to do it.

Correct, there is only a USB port on the front and that is the only way to use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
However, someone is selling the cables you need to re-route the USB port to the rear, and you can also get a wireless CarPlay/Android Auto adapter to plug into that port in either case.
Personally, I just plug my wireless Android Auto adapter in the front and tuck it into that cubby beneath the radio.

Steve W post 1760. Lots of additional posts after providing more detail. I bought the cables Steve W suggested from Alliexpress and re-pinned as he explained and later diagrams showed. Not that hard. I moved the front CarPlay USB to come out the back and to an Apple lightening cable that comes out through the back of the cubby. I have a Rennlist exact fit phone mount so all there nice and tidy. As Steve W did I wired the undocumented USB in the back to the front USB slot and have a very low profile USB drive plugged in with all of my music. Don’t get album art and file structure/navigation is crappy as has been well documented, but love having all my music “in the radio”. My wife tends to plug in her phone and use car play when she uses the car. I only use car play for long trips and usually listen to Sirius or my music without having to mess with my phone. I highly recommend this mod.

I must admit I can't find the same "communications management" category for a 997 ... and searching for PCCM in the top search bar on the site is no more help.
I'll email them.

My 2008 Cayenne S has backup camera. I want to connect the backup camera function with my new pccm+. Can you provide instruction for making this backup camera connection. There are no installation instructions with the unit.

@jgoga - yes, once or twice a week atleast. Some weeks it is once a day. I assume a software update should be able to take care of issues. But don’t know if they have an update yet.
This was one of the issues with the 996 version. Zero support from Porsche and the roll out was a mess.
