give that it only touches the radio antenna, it will not affect carplay or anything else that isn't AM/FM radio. And it's also separate from the unit itself location wise, so doesn't require removing anything down the line other than a single trim panel should you wish to do it later

No effect. I dont have the antenna cables connected and all my functions work as intended minus the radio.

Installed the Amluc unit today. It is the brightest, sharpest CarPlay unit I’ve ever seen including production cars. The sound is great and blows away the stock unit. It doesn’t quite match the color or line up with the climate control exactly right, but for $415 it is a hell of a buy. This is a 7862 model with 8 gb ram and 128 gb storage. No affiliation.

Does anyone know how to set advanced setting on these? This is what my default screen looks like. I can’t figure out how to get it to go into CarPlay automatically on startup. Any tips?

Anyone have the file to 3D print these slider rails? Please share.

I took AitchUK's bracket details from post# 251 and ended up having someone on Fiverr create the file for me to 3D print it.
A friend of mine printed it for me (but after modifying/tweaking the original file I paid for on Fiverr a little bit) and although it is not perfect (and not quite as well executed as a CNC machine could execute), I think it will work great.
Im simply re-using the screws from the metal bracket, and it seems very secure. At the end of the day, these brackets are not holding much weight at all as they are moreso providing just some added support.
I have yet to test fit it since my deck isn't ready to be installed yet (as per the previous post), but hopefully it will slide in with no issues!

Picked up one of these units over the weekend and been trying to install it. The one I got was from there heregoes seller for my 997.2 w/ bose.

Basically here's what I've done so far. The unit harness comes with two types of connect, CDR24 and CDR30 quadlock. I took the black, yellow, and pink wire from the CDR24 harness (since I wasn't using that anyways) and butt spliced it to the MOST adapter. I connected the fiber connector (2 orange wires) to it after that. Then I connected the red and white rca to the head unit (more on that later).

But I've hit a few snags that I am hoping someone here might have some insight on.

First is the power doesn't shut off when I took the key out. Initially the pin out put the ACC wire from the MOST adapter to wire 14 (white) to the quadlock car harness.

That seemed to have given it constant power. I took my multimeter to verify 12V and took the key out. Still 12V.

So then what I did was pull the pin out and slotted it into wire 13 (green), which is labelled as CANBUS wake. Same thing, took my multimeter and saw 12V when my key is in but goes down to 0 after a few seconds after taking the key out.

Problem is, the unit turns back on, off, on again, then finally off for good after I lock the doors. Not a huge deal but a bit strange.

Then I also don't have sound. The MOST adapter have a red abd a white RCA connection and I am gettibg mixed info about whether it connects to AUX in or Audio out on the head unit's side. I also suspect, but haven't tried, connecting the AMP-CONT wire yet. I think the 997.2 all have amps? So maybe that is why I am not getting any sound.

Finally my 997.2 also has the IPOD/usb option...not sure if that interferes with any of what I am doing.

Overall the unit is very responsive and looks great. Apple carplay connects wirelessly. But I have these bugs to fix.

Alsp protip, if you order, make sure it is the right color. I unfortunately ordered the wrong color and ended up spray painting it black.

Assuming you have set up the red, yellow and black wires correctly on the MOST box (just connect to corresponding colours on the harness), then you need to connect red/white audio/out from the HU to red/white IN on the MOST box. See photos for clearer explanation.

Hmmm interesting. I didn't use any tee taps. I need to buy some.

Bascially what I did was I took the yellow and black off of the cdr24 harness since my 997.2 uses the cdr30 quadlock. Tracing the wires, it appears that all three wires (black, yellow, and red) are spliced together from the two harnessss towards the head unit. That is to say that if the head unit has power, the MOST adapter will also have power as well.

I have seen other people tee off from the canbus adapter, but same thing. The canbus adapter seem to get power from the same harness on the head unit side. If one has it, the other will as well. I will take some pics when I get home.

So yea, I scrolled back to the thread and I did that @ZedZed said on post 1143 about depinning the spare harness and wiring the MOST adapter onto it.

Now I'm trying to find the part about the amp. I suspect maybe my amp isn't getting power since it is a 997.2 w/ bose

Well I took off the connector to the MOST adapter and put my multi meter to it. It says 12V so I know that my terrible crimps are giving power to the unit. I can also confirm that the adapter does not light up with red lights.

EDIT, I also connected some desktop speakers to the RCA red and white and no sound. I'm really stumped at this point.

Apologies if you are certain, but are you 100% sure that you have the RCAs marked AUDIO OUT on the HU connected to RCAs marked IN on the MOST box? I would double-check this because you should definitely be seeing a signal on the RCAs that you connected to the small speakers, and it seems you are not.
