yea, it's weird. I'd buy the cheaper one and paint it. I mean, it's mine anyway, who cares about residual. I feel like too many Porsche guys are just speculators.

Humans always are willing to pay more for rarity. It doesn’t matter if it’s a coin, stamp, painting , or car.
For cars, it’s not the performance differences or some letter designation; it’s the factory VIN pure and simple. In a world where car models are measured in the tens of thousands; there are 186 TTS coupes and 604 TTS cabs in North America. At least there were; some are now wrecked. And the TTS is the last Porsche TTS you can get in manual shift.
In another 10-20 years I think all 996 TT cars will be called first of the 911 water cooled just as the 993 is now called last of the air cooled. Time changes perceptions. Some can look 10 years ahead, others can only see the present. Those that can only see the present will be left wondering what if.
When I bought my 911SC in 1984, friends told me low teens was too much for a used car; I should buy a new Japanese car. And I’m no speculator but I try to make good financial decisions.

My white./black leather 05 turbo S 6 speed Cab is in the BAT queue. 59K miles, and no reserve. I'll let the market decide.
