When this all calms down, I plan on heading to Cali - need to get away for a bit...
Spent 6 months in the US (mostly LA) last year. It's a different world compared to Canada. Nobody talks about Covid in many places like Canada does. You go to the right places and people are just living down there and moving on.
I didn't expect the buyer of that car to modify it but I'm glad to see it!
Thank you! I knew there were many who had said have fun watching your car....but they didnt know a shop owner picked it up. Been looking for a clean 996TT to have fun with. will post some updates.
The car I posted up thread recently is now in my garage.
2003, 30k miles, a few aftermarket bits - Strosek wing, Tarett drop links, H&R coils and a Fabspeed (GT2?) exhaust. Also has an older but functional Escort Passport SRX RD/LJ hardwire stealth install.
Thanks. My 1999 911 Aerokit is about to be picked up and is off to its new owner. I'm having some pangs of regret with that departure, but those will disappear when I get the TT out and open it up.
All regret should disappear the instant you turn the key and hear that 962-derived racing engine buzz and pop like a drunk bumblebee
959 (same motor) notwithstanding, there is no 911 like the Mezger, before or since
Nothing else even comes close

So I got a chance to open it up a bit this morning with temps hovering near 50. I'm astounded at how quick this is coming from a 1999 C2. My 957 Turbo has some get-up-and-go, but nothing like this. And as for my old 2016 Panamera 4S, it's not even the same zip code.
I'm not saying this is a supercar, but it sure does drive how I would expect one to. It just eats up the curves.
