Yes, it is impressive. The increase in 996 GT3 prices was amazing to watch, pretty much doubled overnight. Selling for more than 997.1 GT3s now.

When you think about it the Mezger cars from those years 2000 to 2009 are the only non-self destructing engines so the value rise is more than justified.

Where do all these low mileage cars come from? How could someone own these cars and not drive them?

This is where all the 997 guys rush in to scream about the 997.2 GT’s not having sunroofs. Yeah but those are the vast minority hello

I think all of our cars deserve to be in this thread. Why? I know 2 exotic car dealers and both tell me that my car is worth $60K.

Details: '02 Coupe, 106K miles, no accidents, front & back bumpers resurfaced, well maintained, pinned lines & new clutch.

Good thing I'm never selling it!

The twin turbocharged Mezger is the greatest motor ever built by Porsche

And it’s the only 911 motor that ever won LeMans

Your car is ultimately worth $250K+

Good thing you’re never selling

I def think 80k for a nice car w/ decent miles 60-80k is fair in today's market. And if things continue as is, likely higher. Though with interest rates on the rise and a market looking more stagnant, we'll see.

Looks like this auction went to a dealer: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...911-turbo-135/ winning bid $75,800
Dealer Ad: https://www.autobydesign.com/vehicle...va-id-45862391 for sale as an X50 $84,790

Yeah that was a "private" steal at $75K, but Guards/tan not the best color on 996T; a dealer might get stuck with that one, even with the X50

Certain non-unicorn colors can really, really bite you

"Aero" kit is very divisive on the Turbo too, and "aftermarket" wheels rarely help a Classic 911 either

Oy vey

This auction was a little "infamous" if I recall correctly. I also feel like the dealer listing has been around longer than when the auction occurred. I could be wrong,.

That was the "fake" X50

Edit: Yes they are advertising it X50. Caveat emptor: X50 is not on this car's build sheet. Nor is the additional $17,880 X50 option cost shown (or even accounted for) in the original sticker price

The BaT seller actually disclosed that this car is not X50 in only one short comment made Dec 18, 1:08PM:

"I don't know why the hood sticker says X50, but the VIN analytics
do not"

This one has to go for at least 240k as a week ago or so a 996 GT2 with salvage & rebuilt title went for 120k. Wild!
