Like I said, some people don't want to pay your asking price and then have to deal with the costs/effort to make changes.

There is IMO a very narrow market for a car like yours.

I agree 100%. The 996 market seems very very soft right now. I have mine up for $50K as well here in the Bay Area and it’s been very quiet.

 

I paid $42k for mine in April put a couple 1000 into it traded it in on a Macan got $36k on trade in. 2005 Turbo S cab Tippy. LOVE the Macan Got no inquiries on CL and facebook. Thought about BAT and then just decided to let er go... Still have and love my 2003 C4 cab!!

 

Sadly as these cars age, the people come out of the wood work expecting cheap cars, forgetting that not too long ago, these cars were 125k+ and the maintenance is still that of a 6-figure car.

 

I think the 2020 Corvette has people waiting , but just like the C7 s. Every one and their brother will have one and quirks will appear in them and the 996 Turbo will be fewer in numbers that are nice and will be worth every dollar. Still were can you get the performance and looks for 45 k. Like the stock market I didn’t buy to sell I did it as investment and plan to hold.

Possibly worth looking at if you plan on re-registering it in CT but way too many hoops to jump through to get a salvage car titled in NY or many other states.

 

It's already titled. Should be zero issues.

 

Still going to have to get NYS to grant you permission to register it here.
Could be a bargain for someone who will continue registering it in CT.

 

But it’s got factory nav! That’s gotta offset the salvage title issues.

I agree though, it could be a nice deal if the reason for the salvage title isn’t too bad.

 

Just purchased this and I'm wondering if perhaps it made it on this thread? Went back a few pages to the time of the auction and couldn't find anything... Anyways this is my first post and first Porsche.
