maybe 60...but I'm with you, market is strong.

I'm at 55k miles, but not saving my car for the next guy...I wish I had more free time to drive!

I never used my 996 Turbo to commute to work. It was 37 miles one way to work, and parking was uncovered where vehicles got pretty dirty and had to take the full brunt of the summer heat and the risk of hail from thunderstorms.

Not far from me if anyone's interested.
I stopped by today. It's in the used car showroom.
https://www.vwsonnen.com/used/Porsch...2a962ac7bf.htm

The car looks pretty good. Paint seems to be in great condition, didn't notice any significant nicks or scratches. Underside looked clean. Stock exhaust. Appears to have been lowered.

Interior is what one would would expect from 67k miles and light gray...definitely shows some wear. I wouldn't call it 'beat up' but nowhere near fresh. I didn't get a chance to look at the option sticker under the hood, so cannot confirm X50. $47K price tag isn't bad considering the mileage/condition. I am assuming they took it in on trade for low 40s, but I could be wrong.

So not a detailed Rennfax, but the car was nice enough to not rule out if someone liked the GT2 nose and wing.

^^^^ Looks like ~100K Km (~63K miles), on the Canadian "carproof" documents. Significant accident history (estimated $17K worth of repairs in 2010, $13K USD?), plus 2.5% import duty if you bring it to the US, so price might be market correct...

PS: I just made an offer on another 911 'turbo', doing some due diligence on the car now. If it pans out my car will be on these pages soon! I'd love to keep it along side the newer car, but garage space is always at a premium.

Turbo between quotation marks... Is it a 991.2?

'yup'

I love my 996 Turbo, but I also love how under-appreciated the latest 991.2 3.0 turbos are and the pricing on gently used 2017's

I kind of cracks me up that so many Porsche folks are apoplectic over the loss of NA engines in the latest 911. In my mind, Porsches very best engineering and cars have had turbos for quite a while, and I personally wouldn't mind if EVERY 911 I own in the future is turbocharged, whether Air-cooled, Mezger or DFI!
