hmm you must have a kid too? or just a kid at heart?
Yeah, I've got one who will be a 4th grader and she loves that movie. But, frankly, it's probably the second thing. Life's too short to be too serious. Especially on a Porsche internet forum. This is supposed to be fun.

1995 Porsche Carrera 911 Black on Black - $55000 (BASEHOR)
https://kansascity.craigslist.org/ct...646924420.html
Hello, I went and looked at car and I have listed things that need doing.
The gentleman sounds legitimate and he bought the car with a business and is just selling off some of the assets, so the title is still in the 2nd owners name, not sure if it has been signed, Question to ask
-2nd owner since 2001, purchased with 27,000 miles, there are some receipts now has 44,250 miles.
- May have been service at local Porsche, needs to check with Vin #
- Body in good shape, no door dings, but there are stone chips on bumper, hood and side fenders, not bad, show like a 40,000 miles.
- Need claybar and full paint restoration
- Rust around windshield about 1" round bottom right side, there may be more rust under the windshield, windshield will have to be removed and will need new rubber surround , 50-50 chance that windshield could crack therefore budget new windshield. $3000-4000
-Front bumper and skid pan scapped on underside and bumper looks stretched on left side and right side
-Could be touched up but would say removal of bumper and total repair for your negotiations $1000-$2000
- Rest of body work needs claybar and then good polish $xxxx
- Frunk clear with all tools and kit, took mat out to check complete front end and it looks good
- Rear tires worn on inside, budget for new set $
- Alignment $
- Interior in great shape just need cleaning, dash, seat, door cards still all good. Very small wear on lower bolster drivers side
- No scraps on wheels, slight vibration as 60mph, balance when you change tires.
- Brakes look good, rotors and are not warped or grooved.
- Rear end engine cover pan missing, a lot of people leave these off.
- Can not see any oil leaks
- Drove on/off accelerator and could not feel any clunking, this checks transmission and engine mounts.
- Car drives and brakes straight.
- Car drives tight and no inside rattles.
- Clutch felt good and gears were tight going up and also good through down changes
-The a/c works well, when you accelerate hard to 4-5000 rpm the a/c slows down it sounds like a valve is working ( through vacuum) and closing off a valve. Should show up in PPI
- Not sure if it has had its full 30,000 miles service?
-The car has not been abused and could easily be brought up to a 9 with some elbow grease.
- All switches inside worked.
- Door hinges are good
-He has some records and also a car fax.
-He also said he would pay for PPI.
-Name is Randy Mc Donald 913-909-9100
Thanks
Since PPI shows no major issues, needs full 30,0000 /40,000 service
Also weaps at chain cover and the valve covers, basically they fell that as car is driven more it will start to leak so plan on replacing gaskest, plugs etc
Needs Frunk and engine lid gas shocks
This is a basic 911 with no extras no power seats.
It has ROW springs, not sure what type.
For me the car is a $49 K when all parts and work done. Yes low miles, but has not been looked after
So back from that, probably a $40K car but depends on what you find when you take windshield out maybe less.
Thanks
John
Thanks
John
It was a craigslist find and then I went and looked at it, somebody may be interested
Thanks
John
Hi John!
Thanks for posting the Craigslist find. That's a beautiful 993. And a great job of looking it over and posting your thoughts and findings - very helpful! Generally, in this thread, we are posting 996 Turbo related items. Doesn't have to be an actual 996 Turbo, but something related. For example, a hardtop for a convertible, or a set of wheels that would fit a 996 Turbo. Some guys in here are interested in 993s, but we're really looking for 996 Turbo related posts. However, the 993 forum has a similar thread and I think they would love to have you post this over there. Here is a link to that thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...on-thread.html
BTW, I think I know who you are, but not sure. If you are going to KCRPCA breakfast this Saturday, be sure to say "hi"!
