What's a good price on a 2017 991? I looked at a few, and it seems the asking price is mid $70K to low 80's. Have you considered the S version?

I like the 991, but I don't like the depreciation.

Prices are all over the place, and builds are all over the place... I'm targeting mid $70's with CPO for a low option, 20-30K mile car that is cosmetically and mechanically perfect and built to a spec that I like.

Honestly I'd probably take a base with driver oriented options (manual, sport exhaust, sport chrono) than an S with pdk, no sport exhaust, no sport chrono. It's easy to add power now that the base, S, and GTS are have identical drivetrains except for tune and turbos, and the base comes with PASM.

Sure, I'd take a perfect configuration S, but they are still in the 90's.

If you can live with the light gray gut, it's a nice ride if it checks out.

the under 20k mile cars definitely command a premium.

that cassette storage tray can be swapped out. Seats too, quiet easily.

what options are you seeking? Were you looking for an x50 car with sport seats?

I'd venture to say that a clean 20k mile non x50 6-speed for mid $50s is looking to be steal.

I just bought mine in April, nearly identical silver/black with 19k miles and in excellent sorted condition for $50K, only it has a tip. So, say a $5K detract for a tip in this market and that price is about right or even low. I found mine at the Indy shop-it belonged to a customer and the shop owner said the guy was going to sell it. I had a ppi done and bought it the next day. It had new PS2 tires and I had all the fluids changed and now it is good to go. The car is 100% stock and an original Arizona car.

Maybe there is an add for black leather over the gray? I would think black would be more desirable.

I agree. I think black would be more desirable. Maybe thats why this car has been sitting for a bit.

What indy shop do you take your 911 to? I'm in Phoenix as well.

I go to McIlvain Motors in Tempe, right near the airport. Scott, the owner is super helpful and a PCCA instructor. They are a no-bs indy--and I've rarely seen a non-Porsche in their shop. They work early in the summer, say 5AM to 1PM because of the heat. They are 1/4 mile from my office so it's quite convenient. Ben, the main tech, is great as well and always willing to share information. Sometimes I stop by just to say hello and talk Porsche. Their hourly rate is great and never any surprises or up selling, to me anyway. Scott wants to do the pinning on my Turbo, but I think I'm going to flip it as I just bought a GT3, which is a different kind of hoot.

Most of the items on the "Optional features" list were standard equipment.
