Hmm, kinda makes you wonder why. I am surprised to see in the ad that the current owner had to do plugs, coils, water pump, MAF, 2nd gear detent plus some other stuff. It was my understanding from the ad earlier this year that all of the maintenance items were good. That was the selling point for this car - despite the salvage title and the repaint, the car was supposed to have been rock-solid mechanically. But, sounds like the current owner had a rocky 6-month ownership experience.

Still, assuming you could get it for $28k, would be an inexpensive way to get into a 996tt. I think you could always get your money back out of it if you decided, like this owner, that you no longer want it.

If you're gonna keep it who cares about resale?

I wouldn't have issue driving a proper repaired salvage car. The prob with these cars and front impact is bad damage to the front tubs. But I'd rather that than a rear impact IMO.

They sell a lot easier than you'd think. This one is hard bc it's had a color change. On top of that it's a ford color.
