I don't know, but even if this was their opinion, a "point and shoot" 996 Turbo certainty would never be my target.

That is because you are not familiar with how to extract the maximium performance from a stock 996TT on a racetrack.

No, that's not the reason.

Nelsontod, Wow you gave up on the 996 pretty quick. How come? And what 997 are you going for?

Well, your ownership was short lived! I have been looking for a 997 TT for quite some time. Prices continue to climb, but you might find something decent with high miles in a tippy for $55K-$60K.

Im just fine tuning my needs. I went from a 996. To a C4S to this Turbo. You really have to own them and settle into to them before you really know. I love it by the way.

You'll love the PDK. I love mine for sure! Great tranny for a Turbo!

Too funny... You might want to button up whatever it is you are doing with the stereo. Most people are going to be turned off big-time by a half done electronic project.

Buy the Continental radio, install it up top, don't do anything with the amp if it is already bypassed, and put in a spacer pocket up to if you removed a double din. Less than $500 and your radio works and looks good.

Or not.

May be worth a look for someone...sales consultant told me car just came in and had a dent in the bumper that needed to be tended to.

There is a full report on this car over on 996outpost.com. https://996outpost.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=385&start=10

One of the guys there went to look at it for ipman (a "Rennfax" or in this case a "996outpostfax"). ipman seems to be passing on it (or else I would not have posted the link to the thread here). IMHO, at $37k, it is priced about $3k or $4k too high for a driver-condition car with over 100k miles. Dealer advertises "no haggle" prices, so presumably it will take $37k to buy it. Overall, looks like a decent car, though, and I think at $33k, it would be a nice buy.
