Yeah, quality glass guys are worth it. I use the guy that the local exotic dealers use and he came to me and was only $350-400 to remove front and rear glass, and reinstall front glass and rear makrolon (OEM European RS plastic rear window). Didn't crack the original windshield coming out either so I ended up with a spare. Most people told me that no way to get the front out without cracking it.
Safelite was $1600 with OEM glass. Most shops are $1,000 for aftermarket glass. Found a place that will do it for $550. Prices have gone up on everything.
I just picked up these Recaro Profi SPG seats. Supposedly they came from a 1992 Clubsport RS. I'm unsure of the legitimacy, and unsure how to verify, but I think I found something special. Not sure of what other hardware I might need to get them installed but I think they are going to look great in there. Does anyone know how I can find some more info out? I'm going to pull the stock seats and see if they bolt up. Might need some sort of adapter plate? I see several available from different suppliers.
I purchased new tires today, opting to switch from General GMAX RS to Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. I actually liked the GMAXs but never had the same confidence as I did in past Michelins. The 4S' were less than the PS2s and I've heard great things about them.
This weekend I'm swapping the upholstery on my existing seat hardware. I found a pair of seats that were reupholstered but the switches aren't fully functional so I have to mix & match. I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of removal of the lower & upper cushions so I think it'll take 30-60 minutes.
Oh, I also installed a new steering wheel! Disregard the lack of the console and the dirty interior. Interior is partially disassembled and out at painters for a nice coat of silver paint to replace all the soft-touch horrible sticky no good messy stuff.

Is your right foot on the throttle pedal?
From the picture, it doesn't appear that you have much room between your leg and the steering wheel.

Those look like Recaro sliders, but I think you will need to replace them with the version used on later water cooled cars... Easy to tell them apart as the early sliders don't have an angle/dip in the front.
You can either buy the correct Recaro sliders, or use the original sliders in your car if it had manual seats, or buy gen 1 Audi TT RS sliders which also fit perfectly and are less expensive than new Porsche sliders... I have the Audi part numbers around here somewhere.

When you say manual seats do you mean the forward/backwards part? because that is 100% manual on my car. Might be a drop in affair! Still researching these things. They seem fairly rare.

Looks great. Did you replace just the wheel or is the entire assembly new? How hard was it to replace? Mine has bubbles in the airbag cover & the wheel is starting to wear.

I have the same bubbles in mine, it sucks... This was just the wheel. The airbag component is reused from stock.
It was SUPER easy to replace. It would have only taken about 20 minutes if I hadn't clocked it wrong, TWICE! Then I had to plug in the code reader and clear the ABS code because i accidentally turned the key with the airbag unplugged. Easy fix, just annoying.
It's somewhere in the footwell, I'm sure of it. Maybe the brake pedal? Maybe the throttle pedal? MAYBE THE CLUTCH?
I like the wheel. It's smaller diameter than stock. I'm tall, it does provide a little more clearance. Thanks for your input and concern.
I had a problem with a lack of space between my right leg and the steering wheel when my foot was on the throttle or the brake pedal. I went with a 340mm round steering wheel. Problem solved.
