It hails a TON in Denver. I've already had two cars practically totaled by hail. One really should've been and I was pushing the body shop to total it but they wouldn't. $25k worth of damage later it was fixed and they admitted they should've totaled it for me. So while I have insurance (obviously!) on the 911, I really don't want to go through that experience with it.

So, no, I don't regularly drive it to the office where it'll sit outside, uncovered the entire day.

Hilarious. As this was being discussed, it just started hailing here out of nowhere. No thunderstorms, just cloudy. Very small and nothing will be damaged but what one never knows is how large or small it will be. Surprised my husky who was relaxing on the deck. Gave me a wtf look.

You guys treat these cars as if there's only a handful of them. I get the hail, not sure I could live anywhere where that was an issue that could potentially just pop up out of the blue. I gotta say though; as much as I love my car, if it gets totaled due to a tree or some weather I'd gladly take a check from the insurance company and move to something else.

Technically I've got my car over insured so if it got totaled by hail I'd get a big check. That said there's really nothing I'd care to replace it with and I'd rather not go through the *** pain of trying to find another one

Pretty sure there are less than six of mine in Canada.

Maybe I should remove the sunroof...

paying for my own fuel has lost all of its appeal.

Especially now, at least in Canada, where we are approaching $10/gallon.

Haha yes I could imagine! I guess it’s one of those things I complain about but forget how lucky I am to have!

When I first started driving fuel was $.89 per litre, I said if it gets to $1.00 I’d stop driving! Now it’s $3.00 here and I’m itching to get the car back on the road and fill it up!

When dinosaurs still roamed the earth...

Best I can remember was about .39c/liter, late 80s.

And pretty much all, if not all of it, is imported there, correct?

That does not help matters at all.
