My wife drives the 996TT thrice as hard as I drive it...easily, so in theory I would not put it past mine ;-). Proactive maintenance is always a good thing!

I'll probably stick with OEM since it's a street car. I already have a few adjustable arms in the back to keep the alignment in check, but I don't think I need to go all out.

Is this worth doing if everything checks out? I took my car in for an alignment expecting the worse, and the tech said everything is solid and had no problems.

Alignment is static!
Dynamic driving is something different!

The way I rationalize it is that the car is 20 years old now, so if I do it I'm (theoretically) good for another 20 years.

few teaser shots of my wider(4 inches wider than stock) wide body carbon fiber/carbon kevlar build. Waiting for paint to fully cure. respraying the roof and rear deck lid (was hoping I could cheap out and not have to do them but Markus said the color is off. The guy is a literal mad genius. Getting closer

Why not removing the whole Lamps from the car for this job? Its so easy and helps dramatically performing the job, avoiding any car damage.

i gave my lamps to my painter, applying two layers of 2k clear coating -> like new
