They look good.
Yes, Sportec is a Swiss tuner. These wheels are out of production as far as I can tell.

I have a set of those Sportec 19" wheels that have been plastidipped black. I don't want them anymore - 18" are better suited to this area's roads! If anyone wants them make an offer.

Motor will be fully reassembled next week although waiting on a few parts from Germany for final install into the car. New rescue pup is helping me out. His name's Stacks.

I hope Stacks can help you with the clutch fork installation.

They still make the Sportec Mono 10's as they are known. I think they would be in the region of $2300 without tyres new based on a quote from Sportec I recieved recently.

Looks as if Stacks doesn't want anyone near 'his' motor...

This puzzles me because the maf has been coded out, move to speed density via Sam.

Any thoughts as to why?
Is the MAF unplugged? You should unplug it when running a mafless tune or else the car still "uses" it (per my understanding).

Sam told me to keep it unplugged...

No other issues -except the silly brake wear indicator came on yesterday, for the first time in months - I reset it, it hasn't come back.

I actually have a Sportec tune on my 04 TT cab - installed by the selling dealer not long after it was sold new. It was something like $2k and if I remember correctly maybe added +/- 50 hp or so. Haven’t ever seen their wheels in person but they look sharp to me, although I am also a sucker for the GT2 wheels.

Replaced voltage regulator. A pain to remove the alternator, and a bigger pain to replace as very little tolerance to align the the fastener bolt. Other than that straight forward. Failure of the regulator cause over-charging and over-heating of the battery. Amazingly Interstate tested the dead battery and after their overnight recharge it tested OK. Took it for a test run and back to amazing UMW performance!

Excellent. I hope to jump on the new turbo wagon over the winter. Are those the Spec 1, Spec 2, or K24/71mm turbos? And how long did they take to get? When I talked to Markski about a month ago he said he was around 10 weeks out for rebuilds due to supply chain issues.

They still have not made it to me yet. When I had these k16 hybrids installed two years ago I had all new oil lines installed along with new reservoirs. I am hoping I will not have any issues with them being seized.
