I completed my Uniden R7 hardwire with a little crafted mute button/LED alert doohickey using one of the switch blanks. I may try again and go for a cleaner look.
The switch is a $5 momentary push-button from the local hardware store.

I did something similar wiring up a garage opener remote to a porsche pushbutton that I added instead of one of the blanks.
All the OE porsche oval rocker switches for that generation are momentary switches and many of them have a LED light built into them as well... I think you could source a new or used one and wire it up pretty much the same as you have your current setup and it would look extremely OE and clean.

This is the first one I saw, but I'm sure there are others even cheaper on ebay. Any 986/996 switches from the center or console switch panels should fit in that blank mounting spot you are using.

Sparco qrt seat resolution. Wound up cutting down the bracket as much as possible. The buckles fit tight but the seat slides fine. Now only slightly higher up than the OEM gt3 seat setup. Nice weather, enjoying the car today!

Or ebay.... Even some old Boxster switches should plug right in. Example below. I have the pinout of the switches on a note somewhere, though honestly it would likely only takes about two minutes with a volt meter to figure it out.

Found this old note diagraming a typical switch. On this switch, basically pin 4 is momentary to pin 1 or 2, with pin 3 and 5 being for 12V panel light. Not all switches will be double pull, some I think are single pull, and some have an LED light either instead of or in addition to the panel light. At any rate, should get you started in figuring it out.
The reason they are all momentary is that in their original application they really don't act as 'switches', but rather just signal triggers (to ground) to the body control module (BCM) which handles all the actual switching.

Damn, I wish I had seen this. I have a couple of switches laying around if you want one. Just PM me your address. They are seat heater switches.
Race Car
Seat heater switches have a red and an orange LED in addition to the LED that lights up the logo. That would be a good choice.

Sorry man just saw this. LT4 motor in the V3 is amazing, very torquey and sounds great. I'm thinking about ordering the new CT5V but that C pillar annoys me and i'd rather have a wagon that another sedan.
Good score....

But I believe the LED's inside some of the switches, like the seat heat switch, are completely controlled from within the switch itself with an internal circuit board. As you cycle through clicks, it turns on and off the led's. Perhaps it's also latching the switch itself internally as well so it is no longer momentary, and won't really work for your application. Might not be able to use seat heat switch at all (or any other switch with a latch/internal light) if they do latch.... Still, one of the momentary style switches to control the mute will look very OE, and maybe doing the external LED drilled into a dummy switch right next to it like your original version?
^^^ hope the above isn't too confusing.
