thanks, was a lucky break, either way. i am sure he knew i was over but also that i saw him so early he knew that i was attempting to slow down quickly, but not so quickly as admission of guilt. i also know he gave me a pass as i past him. i was tempted to just pull over and allow him to nail me. but while i silently appealed to every deity ( thanks god ) i could think of, i kept driving just waiting for him red lights blazing and it never happened.

ya know? i have thought of that many times as i have been given warnings more often than tickets as i age.

so, if you're asking did i get an "old white guy pass"? it is not outside the realm of possibilities at all. i'll never know, thankfully.

Did a 200 mile loop from Victoria, to Sooke, to Port Renfrew, to Lake Cowichan, and back to Victoria. Car was so capable. I got stuck behind 3 really slow cars in a row on a twisty, 2 lane "highway" to a popular beach. But, when the road opened up, passed all three with too much ease.

Question - how do I see what/which brand of tune my car has? I was told that it had a tune, but not which one, and I haven't looked into it until now.

There are a couple ways of figuring this out. You could contact the person who purchased the tune and ask them. You could call/email various tuners and ask them to check the VIN and see if they have record of it. Or you could pull the tune off the car and send it to Marek or Sam and they could probably tell you who wrote the tune just by looking at it.

The last person I purchased it from was a small independent shop, and they didn't put it in, so I think it's been lost to time.

I may just send it to Markski anyway and just get his either way...I enjoy how it is now, though!

Pics incoming because my phone died and I lost everything - seeing if it backed up on the Cloud....

So, I just spent 64 hours, 45 minutes and 3593 miles trying to figure out how I could take the turbo to work...

First trip since COVID, the world is changing.

Just drive it dude, i can tell you arent a *****, just dont back it in and take up 2 spaces. Just take a corner spot and let her melt in the sun. I drive my work to car every week end and no one messes with it i just park away from the entrance.

The problem is the off road component - I went down a road and did not see a gully the rain had carved in gravel and I managed to wallop it pretty good. I agree with you, in some places I could prbably manage with a small set of tools, but this time I was in 4 different provinces with varying terrain at every turn.

Had I not been out of BC, I would be on my way to the Yukon (not allowed to go with a 14 day isolation), which does not have good roads...

Well... You know.. You have adjustable coilovers right? Mount some phat *** offroad tires on it, jack it up to the max and spray underbody rubber on anything that doesnt radiate heat.

No, it was the fact that I had left BC, which I did not know until I was in Saskatchewan.

The Yukon government would have let me in coming directly from BC, but because I had left BC and travelled all the way to Manitoba, I had no choice but to do the fourteen day lockdown before they would let me on site.

So, some of the younger folks got to go.

This is the run I just got home from... Lots of fun, but a new world - spooky in how some of the provinces are managing COVID.
