Broke down and purchased a new GT2 splitter. I took mine off to repaint today and it fell apart, it had been repaired once prior.

Got the front end of my car torn down for some cleaning and maintenance. Found my first "while you're in there" item(s): New AC condensers. I think I found my leak at least. I could probably use new fender liners too, but I think I'll save the $200 for now...

Interesting place to store the bumper cover.

It's the only place it's safe from my 3 year old.

Drove a 99 carrera properly modded and then drove a spec early 2k boxter. Is the c2s cable driven tb? That thing was uber responsive. Both cars seem like they would be phenomenal on track, makes me wonder how much it would cost to make my 996tt handle like those 2 caes.

'99 C2s had cable throttle still.

Fun per dollar ratio is very high on a nicely setup Boxster.

TTs weigh too much to truly handle like a Boxster or early Carrera, but I'm sure we could get close.

Can't you just chain that kid to the toilet?

EDIT: My wife informs me that is illegal. Sorry.

The first gen Boxster are very solid cars. Very few IMS issues and no bore scoring. I think about buying one almost daily.

It's a '78 XS400. Next winter's project (hopefully). I got it as a partial trade for another bike I sold awhile back. 14k original miles with good bones. The cosmetics and electrical are a **** show though, but that's my specialty so it's no biggie.

I'm looking forward to building a bike again. I tend to go over the top when I do bikes and I'm challenging myself to keep this one "simple" since I'm building it to sell and (hopefully) make some sort of profit on.

I can really recommend getting a C2/Boxster to counterbalance the Turbo. Nice to have as a more nimble, lighter, very responsive car. I haven't driven a 986 before (987 is what I drove a few times), but I'm sure it would be a hoot. I also think about adding a Boxster, but I feel like at that point I'll just get a Miata to thrash at Autocross.
