Replaced the driver side radiator, had a slow weep along the bottom seam. Will tackle the other two after work during the week....amazed at how much crud accumulated within two years since the last cleaning. While the coolant is drained, will probably take the time to install the Ruf front bumper conversion, which requires an adjustment to the center radiator plumbing.
Was adding it to the seemingly growing list or irritations.
I have a hanging throttle issue that I found to be caused by the Rennline aluminum floormat hitting and dragging on the Rennline aluminum throttle pedal hinge I installed. It might be worth taking a look at your pedal to make sure it isn't hanging up like mine was.

I checked that, thank you - if you look at the video about it above, I pull my feet out of the way and it carries on. It does not do this in second gear or above.

It's your inner self willing revs on the tach...LOL. I didn't read the whole thread...not sure what would keep the throttle on....something sticks?
Yes, it is a puzzle for sure. This happened when I was bedding in the brakes, doing a number of runs up and down second gear.

Well there actually *is* a cable that runs from the throttle pedal to the digital encoder which is tucked up under the dash... At least on my 2001 Turbo.
Longshot, and doesn't explain why it would only happen in a particular gear, but it's worth a shot to visually inspect the pedal, cable, actuator, and connectors down in the pedal box. Perhaps you knocked something loose or bound something up when moving your feet about with the aggressive braking.
Probably not, but five minutes with your head crammed down in the footbox will rule it out.
These cars don't control the idle with the throttle plate. It remains stationary and the computer works with timing and mixture to maintain the idle speed. With a durametric you should be able to read the throttle plate angle. Should be able to do it with a COBB also. I will try to read mine today and report the value. So most likely you have a vacuum leak after the throttle body. Boost leak check should find something like this. You can also try the spraying carb cleaner at suspect joints trick to see if the idle changes.

Thank you Sir; I will contort my 6'3" frame and have a look.

Also thank you - I don't think I did the logs properly, I just them run, so I figured that is why my laptop crashed with an exception error.
