Is it hanging up? What is preventing you from getting it sleeved correctly?

The rubber has probably shrunk and hardened a bit with age. Try a tiny shot of WD40 on the aluminum sleeve and side that baby on there.

Keep 303 or anything else that contains silicone away from your intake and exhaust. The silicone can foul O2 sensors. To get my Y pipe in there i just make sure the clamp is really loose, then push it in with both hands one on the right pipe and one one the left with a slight rocking motion and it pops in. it does need "significant " pressure however and you need to make sure the large vacuum tube and the MAP sensor connector are not getting in the way.

I couldnr get the rubber y pipe back onto the intake straight and just left it cocked a bit, there a trick to getting that thing sleeved correctly?
Put a little oil on the silicone prior to install. It will slide right on.

303 doesnt contain silicone none of the stuff i use contains any silicone. I either use motor oil or 303 as lube for everything in the engine bay. But yeah we got it on there good.

Pulled the WG actuators. Off to UMW for rebuild & spring upgrade. Passenger side membrane completely shot.

Can you or @Kevin talk more about this process? Why are you doing it, what you gain, what spring, etc?

Kevin would be the one to respond, but I did a pressure test at the intake and immediately heard the air loss coming from the passenger side actuator. The internal membrane is shot. I was just going to buy a replacement but balked at the Porsche price for a single unit. Started hunting around for an alternative and Kevin suggested I send them up to him for a rebuild and spring upgrade. The spring upgrade is supposed to work nicely with my otherwise stock X50.

Yesterday actually...

Stalled it in the gas station. Forgot it needs a little gas taking off.
Haven't done that in a very very long time...
