What did you do to your 996TT today?

Here's another source:

You have to follow a couple of links, but also have to order 50. There is a serrated flange option as well.
Do you use anti-seize on plugs or screws? Guess it wouldn't hurt.

Just to clarify, the Beru ZS178 coils mentioned above ARE 997 coils...
More parts suppliers seem to be able to find and determine price/availability the Beru part number than the Porsche part number, but they are OEM coil packs...
Porsche part #997-602-104-02 = Beru ZS178.
But there is also another 997 part number that are the short bolt coils, and maps to a different Beru part number.Porsche part 997-602-104-00 = Beru ZS036, which are harder to fnd
Beru ZS178 = latest long bolt coils = '997 coils' = 997-602-104-02 = easier to find and less expensive = the coils I recommended.More parts suppliers seem to be able to find and determine price/availability the Beru part number than the Porsche part number, but they are OEM coil packs...

I wouldn't think so. You would just need to buy the bottle for them if you can. Also chemical guys sells something similar and I'm sure there are other places that sell also. http://www.chemicalguys.com/Carbon_F...s_p/wac227.htm Or search for ceramic coatings or hydrophobic coatings.

I couldn't find the smaller 8mm head M6 flange bolts on the McMaster site when I looked... All the McMaster M6 flange bolts I could find had 10mm heads. As I mentioned, the small head flange bolts are more of a specialty moto application and you probably won't find them locally. You can probably find the 10mm heads at a better stocked Ace hardware.
Do you use anti-seize on these or on the plugs? Guess it couldn't hurt.

There is perpetual debate on whether to anti-sieze Porsche plugs... I'm in the NO camp. Definitely not on the coil hold down bolts.

Thanks for the info. I haven't seen any mention of using anti-seize on the plugs, but I have seen it recommended for Corvettes. Never used it myself. I have pretty fresh plugs in there now so will file this away for when the time comes.

My plugs were shot! Had check engine light, misfire number one cylinder. After I fixed all my boost leaks. Runs and sounds so much better now that I have things sorted out.

Without devolving into yet another 'should I anti-seize my plugs?' debate, there are several reasons why many believe you should not use it on plugs, Porsche Turbos in particular. The simplest reason is that plug manufacturers themselves claim a special plating on these plugs that obviates the need or anti-seize and themselves recommend not using anti-seize...

I've always had these on my car and love them, it's the last thing RUF on my car besides the intake. They are much smaller than the gigantic Porsche mirrors. They are about the same size as a Cup mirror. If you don't like em, send them my way. I can always keep a set as spares.
