Less than I expected.
Of course it was $1400 all in the last time this happened to me - in a C4S in 2002...

New roof cage and a wash (need something to get the kids skateboard and scooters to the skatepark). The wife asked isn't this why I bought a truck.

My 6 yo daughter said "it's not as fast though"..4 yo son said "and it doesn't look as cool"

I finished up some maintenance on the cooling system.

The coolant in my car was a strange orange color, probably the result of the combination of the original green coolant mixed with some new pink coolant at a later time. While I was doing it, I figured I might was well replace the coolant reservoir, update the cap and do the fuel filter.

Getting a lot of the old coolant out was quite a task. According to the manual there is 28L of coolant in the turbo, which is the equivalent of ~7.5 gallon. When I started draining I got the following volumes:

- A little more than 2 gallon from the 2 drain plugs under the engine
- ~2 gallons from the drain plugs on the radiators. Btw I could not find the drain plugs on the side radiator and disconnected the hose. The center radiator has a plug that you need to pull out and not twist. From the factory repair manual this is not clear, and I broke mine so I had to order a replacement.

At this time a little more than 4 gallon was gone, which left me somewhat disappointed. I disconnect the heater core and that blew it out with 10psi of compressed air, giving me another 0.5 gallon.

Still we are quite a bit short.

I disconnected the big coolant pipe on the driver side, next to the transmission (you have to remove the 2 undertrays that are furthest back). This yielded another 0.5 gallon, and when blowing compressed air on the overflow pipe of the coolant reservoir another 1~1.5 gallon blew out with a big burp (also note the color).

I spilled some, but my guess is that I got 6.5 gallon out total and that's also what the car took using the uview vacuum fill tool. The result is a nice pink reservoir now!

Installed the e-bay aero lip

Changed the transmission oil from Liquidmoly to factory Porsche. No apparent change in shifting or noise. Here is picture of the mag drain plug with 30k miles of use. I checked and no chunks just grey paste and some very small flakes. Does this seem normal?

Yes, I did a couple of Porsche 996 and 997 lately and it is the exact accumulation of shaving I saw on them.....

The lip looks great! Can you post a link to the eBay auction? I would like one.

How bad was the install?
