New goodies arrived today to fix my crappy rear end noise issues. (worn AP arms and drive shaft.) might as well also change out the wheel bearings and throw wheel hub (really hard to find a place that stocks them). Also new SPC adjustable LCAs, don't wanna keep buying LCAs because of a loose ball joint.

Replaced driver's side seat belt with a used unit in great condition courtesy of Jferrante. Original unit was losing its ability to retract.

Removed front bumper and did a thorough cleaning behind the condenser units and the radiators. Pulled out two cups of cigarette butts, rocks, feathers, plant stuff...YUCK!

Glad I ended up doing this!

What do you think of the quality of the SPC adjustable LCAs? I'm a SPC dealer and have only sold one of those for the 911, sell a lot of the rear LCA's for BMW's.

Seems to be decent quality, my alignment guys told me that the camber adjustments shouldn't run (I was worried about it from looking at the clamping of just 4 bolts). Bushings look OK. Didn't grease the ball joints prior to install, assumed they are pre greased.
Funny enuff I had eibach (CSR) ones on order but they were taking too long from the UK. They look exactly like the SPC ones. If it's eibach design, it should be that bad I reckon.

I think Eibach relabels them from SPC.

Went to a local cars and coffee.
Parked next to a 997.2TT. It made me realize that while they are nice, they aren't 2x as nice...

OTOH I'm jonesing for a 96 Viper now and my 9 y/o wants a 66 C/K.
There's no accounting for taste...

Adjusted the free play in the parking brake. Not too difficult, once I discovered which way to turn the gizmos inside the wheels. The brake lever throw was getting quite long. Now it's like new.

Dropped it off to get the center console painted.
Hopefully it'll turn out well and not be a total clusterf@ck.

Been a long week, so my optimism store has been depleted...

You might try adjusting the cable from inside the cabin. Remove the floor of the console inside tge storage area 1 screw and its a double nut

Wow impressive job! Can you share your secret ;-) How did you get the aluminium and casting parts so shiny?
