Tightened the drivers window cables with 6mm bicycle cable adjusters. I don't think the one near the latch needed it but there was a lot of slack in the forward one behind the speaker. Didn't even need to cut the green bushing out. Front of window drops down properly now but fails to stay down when door is ajar. Ordered a VW latch to use for parts to fix the OE latch.

Removed the upper dash panels that have the carbon lifting in a few spots as well as fixed the vent door lever that broke. Had to drill for a #4 screw and locknut.

I have not been able to find the 6mm slotted adjusters - where did you find them? I am probably just not using the correct search terms.

Neither could I. I had to buy them on eBay.

In an attempt to check the window drop functions, my remote is no longer locking the doors on my car.

I was using a screwdriver to close the latch with the door open. The window dropped but does not go back up when I cycle the door handle. With doors open, the dash lights do not come on as they did before. Only the interior lights come on. Is there a way to reset this?

Default Tire and rim change

Removed my OEM rims with all season tires and installed my warm season set with the sticky summer tires.

Are you going to replace the dash panels or have them repaired? I have the same issue and am trying to learn what options exist and at what price.

I'm going to try and heat them up to get them flat before re-attaching. I have seen some posts where people buy carbon sheet and cut it in the same shape. I believe they had to spray it with clear about 20 coats. That's a crap ton of work.

Upgraded to leather wrapped sun visors. Conveniently eliminated the airbag warnings as a bonus.

Thanks, I was surprised even the mirror cover and surround is wrapped in leather. BTW if anyone needs a pair of convertible mirror mounts that came with these visors let me know and I can send them to you, just pay shipping.

Anyone have any ideas on the keyfob not locking the car? I can manually lock it with the key but it just beeps once at me and does not lock when I use the fob.
