What did you do to your 996TT today?

Flushed the brakes, fluid didn't look too bad but definitely wasn't clear like new stuff. Got a small bubble out of each front caliper.
Also used a plastic welder/staple tool and jb weld to fix my aero lip and turbo lip. I don't have great expectations for either lasting though, I tend to destroy these...

Did they keep making them until the 300ZX came out?

Correct, after 1978 the Z became a ZX. By then the car was bloated, softer, slower, but it did have voice commands.
Had both, the 78 is still one of my favorites, the 82 not so much was like a plush touring car.

They went 240Z (69-73), 260Z (1974), 280Z (75-78). Then a new version, based on a Maxima the 280ZX (79-83), then a new version 300ZX with a V6 (84-88?), than a different 300ZX (?89-96) then the series ended.
Later the 350Z started it back up, then went to the 370Z. The 350/370Z share no heritage with the original series. The 240SX is much more similar to the first generation 240/260/280Z.

Sorry men I got a bit carried away. The first-gen Z is the car I have always loved, it's what I would draw during study hall in 6th grade. I've owned one since I got my driving license 38 years ago and I always will have one.

That is correct. When I bought my 911SC in 1984, Datsun was becoming Nissan from what I recall. There were both new 280s and new 300s available. But I ended up buying a used 5 year old 911 SC for the same price as a new Nissan.
In fact I bought it April 1st 1984. So I’ve owned it 40 years today. I’m getting old.

scored a set of used left/right radiators off a 997TT from the marketplace, finally got a chance to clean them up a bit but havent had muc time to focus on the TT but am hoping to get the IC hose back on tomorrow.
took me 3 tries to get the valves adjusted right on my track car (dc2) which is serving as a temporary daily driver. no more ticking, idles smooth and has alittle extra power!
