Go for it, you'll like it... and like it in the sense that it's a missile and requires little input to drive ridiculously fast.

What are some good ways to tell if struts need to be replaced? My car has 95k miles but from what I can tell rebounds quickly after dips/bumps and still handles very well as far as I am aware. When pushing down on a corner is there an amount of suspension travel that is normal? Obviously it will be minimal with this type of vehicle.

If you push down and it's bouncy on the way back, that's no good.

If it's bouncy, they're bad. If the fronts are shot, the inner front tires will wear funny and you will be able to feel it in the tread as you run you hand over it.

If there is any squeaking and/or crunching it's probably the top mounts are worn out ( rubber ). If it's "bouncing"?! Never mind.

Front is very firm and compression by hand is minimal. The rear drops by 1/2" to 3/4" but there is more weight there, not sure if normal.

I don't see any uneven tread wear on either corner. No squeaking that I can tell. Steering feels good. I have service records for most things but surprised the suspension was never upgraded or even lowered with all of the track references.

They still have oil in them.

If your shocks are bad, you would know it.

Ok, they seem fine to me. Coilovers would be sweet but definitely overkill for a garage queen.

Haven't done much to the turbo lately. Just bought it another garage mate - a Noble M400. So the 996TT is done with track duty. I'm going to put regular tires on it and just daily drive it now...gotta catch up to T2!

Side note - anyone know a rennlist moderator? A friend of mine sold his 997TT here and wants the FS thread removed, but cannot seem to get any responses from rennlist.

Cannot remove them once they're sold, they are left up as data points.
