Any vehicle with any combination of fuel, power steering fluid, exhaust, high amperage electricity, or anything flammable or combustible can catch on fire.
Always carry a fire extinguisher in ANY vehicle you care about.

It can only happen to 996 varieties. All versions prior and since use only noncombustible materials and fluids LOL

I wonder about the Y cable. Those things get awful hot judging by the corrosion and damage on some of them.

According to Carfax, that burnt 996 was classified as "Fire damage reported due to electrical failure". Title isn't branded/salvage but it does reveal the accident / fire damage back in Dec 2017.

No test drives? I wonder if you're allowed to start it before you hand over the "cash only"... no wonder he hasn't sold it...

I posted that one many many months ago. He’s still trying to make room for a turbo S, meanwhile my garage has reached its 2 4S limit. I got no room.

I’m not convinced it’s not a scam. Anyone holding $26k cash going there is nuts. Too close to Atlantic City, one of the highest crime rates in the country. Plus, the guy’s attitude sucks.

In Texas, that would be a given.
Way up there, I'm not sure it's an option.
