That looks like a reasonable price all things considered.

Agreed, very tempting. Going to ask for the car fax and maybe make an offer.

And has anyone even heard of maxrpm? If you have a 4.0 liter motor, someone is going to want it to be done by someone that knows what they’re doing.

There was also some debris in the back seat footwell in the pics and the car needed a professional detail. Not fixing those simple things shows that the owner didn't try and keep up on it and was seen as dumping it so as to not deal with the car anymore. Basically, a lack of love for the car is why it didn't go higher in my opinion.

Comparing their 4.0 dyno sheet to a Flat 6 Innovations dyno curve for the Track Performer Stage 2 (4.0) is really interesting!
A Flat 6 Innovations 4.0 dyno curve REALLY embarrasses this MaxRPM 4.0 dyno curve.
Not just at the top, where most people look first, but the entire curve.
Not that I'm surprised...just more proof that I made the right choice!

Now I must say that this dyno is much better than stock, and would be a really fun car to drive.
But MaxRPM 4.0 is not equal to a Flat 6 Innovations 4.0 build.

Looking at the interior pictures...specifically the stereo and cubby pictures, there seems to have been a lack of attention to details there.
The cubby looks hacked together and the trim bezel looks hacked as well.
Yes, the AC/controls need to be repaired.
EPS IMS bearing...why not IMS Solution?
SAI code that will have to be taken care of in order to register in lots of places.
" left-side sun visor mirror cover is broken, the sunroof switch is broken, and several of the interior bulbs are burned out."
This should have been done pre-sale.
Looks like a nice fun car, but yeah, the price they got was pretty good.

I think there were a number of reasons...for starters, the seller did not seem to be paying attention the auction and the only way you would get a response was to tag him in a post. Even then, he was slow to respond and did not answer all of the questions asked. Some questions were posted multiple times before he would answer. As others mentioned, there were a lot of little things that were not addressed that could have been. The registration expired a year ago with no explanation. There was an error code listed in the PPI that the seller did not answer questions about. I was interested in the car but the longer the auction went on the less interested I became as there were just too many unanswered questions and what appeared to be a rather dodgy seller.

To steal a phrase from another BaT member, this was a masterclass in how NOT to sell a car on BaT. I was actually surprised that the car sold for as much as it did, but that seems to be far more common with BaT these days. Cars are getting bid up well beyond what they are worth and then sellers on other sites use those numbers/values as the basis for overpricing their cars.
