@PhillyNate what's the scam though? when you call do they redirect you to the BAT auction?
Exactly what Garrett said with the added component of It not being his car to sell in the first place. He just downloaded the pics from BaT and put the ad on Craigslist.

I don't see a lot of high end vehicles in the background. Mostly trucks and Mustangs.
I see this a lot with smaller dealers
A nice 911 comes through the auction so they pounce on it hoping to make a quick buck on ignorant people who just go wow a Porsche !
They rarely know anything about what they're selling and the car sits on their lot for a bit and gets punted back to auction

The wrap is probably hiding the scars of 166k miles. I would go take a look at it if it were local. Other than the miles it checks all the boxes for the daily I would love to have.

And removing the wrap may cause more damage. Really depends how long it's been on there and how well it was originally done

so it does. I scanned the pics looking for one of the underside of the motor, missed the sticker. Wierd they would not be more clear in the ad.

Here's a rare one - a white 996 roller with Boxer Red interior and Sport seats. A bit pricey...

I prefer the earlier stickers.

That blue sticker one must have been replaced after 2013.
it you knew the date it was installed you Would at least know the engine was in good shape then...if done by a qualified shop.

I feel like I may be dealing with a similar situation with a local 1999 996. I'm no 996 expert, but I've been studying up since this car popped up in town, and as soon as I point out some specific questions and start asking about service history I get an odd vibe. The vehicle would sell quickly on PCarMarket or BAT, so why would they not go that route? That's the question I'm asking myself, at least.
