Actually the interior doesn't look that bad to me...on my iPhone.
My car has Metropol Blue.
It is about as dark of a blue that you can get before it is black.
I didn't realize it was blue when I bought it, I thought it was black.
I wish it were black, it would be easier to find replacement parts for.
When I installed my FunctionForward shift ****, I bought a new shifter boot from Redline in their darkest blue...I then ended up re-ordering one in black.
It matched better.

11K miles would worry me.
I bet every hose and seal is in bad shape, if they've not been replaced.
I would prefer a 111K mile car than a 11K mile car.
I didn't look, but I hope they have proof that the oil has been changed regularly.
I would worry that they only had it changed at 10K miles.

I'm not buying the "I thought I had an AOS problem, replaced it and still had white smoke so I started the process but it got to(o) expensive" story.

I think it is actually, "I had white smoke, replaced the AOS, still had smoke and continued to drive it until I heard a horrible sound, so I started the process but found out how much a shortblock was so here it is, please tow away my misery. It wasn't my fault!"

Would the UAOS have helped? Probably
Could the same thing happen if it wasn't fixed properly and the warnings were ignored? Absolutely, but it would have taken a lot longer.

Since oil hydro-lock caused by AOS malfunction is directed toward #4 cylinder, coupled to white smoke, I would say (with 83.33% minimum certainty) the AOS was the cause of this failure.

On a 6 cylinder engine the odds of something effecting any one particular cylinder failure is 83.33% chance (100% /6 = 16.66% x5 =83.33 %)

Yes, the infra-red sensor in the Accumulator in the UAOS would have caught the excess oil and set off the warning system before any hydro-lock could occur.

I agree, it was probably the AOS.
The UAOS could defintely have saved the engine.
I assume that after the AOS was replaced with a faulty AOS, due to the labor involved to re-replace the AOS the smoke was just ignored until it hydrolocked.
If the UAOS had a faulty diaphragm, it would have been easy to fix compared to replacing the AOS a second time.

I was just saying, don't ignore the warnings.
The UAOS makes this easy since it allows you to easily replace the diaphragm.
It also gives you a warning which you sometimes don't get with a factory style AOS.
