Did you receive the unit yet? I'm curious if it works well

So here’s another data point for the “under-seat” sub discussion. I chose a Pioneer TS-WX130DA and following from some earlier posts on this thread I fitted it in the vertical space under the passenger side back seat. I used screw-in Velcro pads to mount the sub and it is very secure, although it is a shade too tall so the rear seat pad doesn’t quite fit down all the way. I think the Nakamichi is a bit smaller. Anyway the install is super clean because I used the phone plug and a harness from Renn Classic. Plenty of current to run the sub. I had the center console off to install a short shifter so I bundled all the wires (including the RCA’s from the head unit and the remote controller) and ran them under the console. The wires connect in the top corner of the sub next to the transmission tunnel so I managed to almost completely hide them. After extensive adjustment I am very pleased with the sound.
This is very cool, I completely misread the post & didn't realize this was actually hidden under the seat cushion. Been eyeing the Pioneer TS-WX010A. Allegedly it's only 2-3/4" high so it might actually fit underneath a seat. I'm being very stupid about this, but if I can see the subwoofer I'm not going to be happy with it.

Default 996 Dash Speakers Kit

I saw this video and bought the adapter kit and speakers. Amazing 100x improvement. Why spend thousands when you can retrofit your 996 with this solution? It makes the door speakers come alive and your head unit already has plenty of power. Watch this video, The entire solution is less than $200 and very easy to install. A guy in England sells the kit and you can buy the Alpine SPG—10C2. It’s all in the video.

Same. I've asked the seller for a shipping update. I can only assume it's on the way.

The hardest part of this DIY is removing the dash speaker screws. They must have installed those before affixing the windshield.

I initially installed the kit upside down because the instructions show the L and R facing up. But they should be face down with shiny side up.

Otherwise easy peasy. And they fit right into the dash. But those screws…..UGH.

I didn’t do the rears because those speakers don’t fit into a Cab. Good luck. You’re gonna love the sound.

Thanks! I just ordered one an hour ago. Because getting the screws back in is also a challenge.

Also suggest putting masking tape on the windshield to prevent scratches. The windshield itself is pretty soft. Ask me how I know....

Model 8581 - 4G - 64GB w LTE. After like a month of messages with the seller, that's what they recommended. Total was like $251. They sent me a few videos of the unit and the function looks good. We went back and forth for a couple weeks confirming pinouts on the wiring harness and they claim to be sending me a free dashcam for the support on my end.

Looks like an amazing solution. Any idea if it is BOSE and MOST compatible? Or does that matter?
