Yeah, I saw the picture, and I was reading all of the text on the bottom of the box and didn't see the model number. I don't know how I missed the NBF618S-II in huge bold font right above that text.
I'd love to know exactly how small one of those "underseat" subs would need to be to fit under the 996 seat. Many brands make underseat subs -- that seems like a perfect stealth bass solution for bass if it's possible to find a model that fits.

I also wonder about raising the passenger seat with spacers and longer bolts. I’m sure no more than an inch would do it, and given that it’s usually our WAGs in the passenger seat they wouldn’t miss it. I know @Yogibara has spent a lot of time around the seat hardware…maybe he’d have some insight.

You're right. One inch would have been enough to fit it underneath.
All your installs look good but I've been trying to scour the internet for an aftermarket install that doesn't require the extra bezel kit. Something like what owtosin offers for the 997.
I've found some options on aliexpress, but they are specifically for 02-05 996.2 cars. Does anyone know if there's a deal-breaker difference between 996.1 vs 996.2 in terms of fitment?
In my opinion, this is the only way to go. Porsche OEM look, and the orange lights even match the rest of the interior. I wired the connection box into the glove compartment - it blows my mind that people actually mount it front and center, YIKES. Added a wireless CarPlay adapter ($100 on Amazon), and boom. Perfection.
What double din is this and possible link of where I can find it?
Mentions a 4-channel Amp being needed. Curious what you guys have used, and where you mounted it? Also, how is an aftermarket amp connected to the stock headunit. Im not looking to make major HU upgrades as I want to do the GT3 console delete and enjoy listening to my cassettes haha

I had one like that custom made back in 2015 as discussed in this post (https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...l#post12405959). This is the seller (https://www.ebay.com/str/rb20fc) from 2015, and the listing was "Porsche logo white color vinyl decal sticker for boxter cayman carrera". They don't have that Porsche listing now, but they might still be able to make it (see size needed in the thread above). Applying these types of "letters only" decals in this small size is pretty tricky, I think it took me 2 or 3 attempts, so it's safest to order a few labels rather than just one.
