If you can do without having a fader, you can just use RCA splitter cables to expand 2 to for channel output. My fader works, but I always keep it evenly balanced front and rear, so I personally wouldn't miss the fader. Your mileage may vary.

Looking for better mids and highs. Would replacing the dash and rear speakers be worthwhile upgrade? There is an amplifier in the frunk that appears OEM and outdated.
The stock dash and rear speakers are of very poor construction quality. If they have never been replaced, the paper cones are probably dried out and torn from old age. Take one out, and take a look. If it's stock, you definitely want to replace them.

Yep, that is my plan B. I am hoping the manufacturer can provide the correct harness.

If you have Bose, don't forget replacements need to be Low ohm (2-4) to work with the Bose amp very well.

My button doesn't light up when I turn on the light switch and the screen doesn't dim. Does anybody having the same issues. Which is the illumination wire on this unit and it connects to which wire from the car?

Tap into the cigarette lighter/power socket ring for illumination, not sure of the lead on the HU. Orange would be my guess…

Here you go:

Pin 4 on the Android is for illumination. You need to connect it to the wire from pin 6 on the Porsche plug. The wire is orange.

I thought the plugs are plug and play. It's strange that they didn't put the illumination. Now I have to take out the radio to check.

I had to do a fair bit of my own wiring ot get it to work properly.

While you are in there, do yourself a favor - pull it out and turn it on. Wait a couple minutes and see if it over heats. Mine certainly did! The indicated temp in the second photo is in Celsius. Check the part that I circled:

What did you end up doing with yours? Mine has mostly been fine, but I still plan to go back into the dash to work out some gremlins. Mine currently doesn't keep time, which makes me suspect I have the switched and constant power wires reversed.

I returned it. They are making a new one for me with a cooling fan. But considering you all are telling me that your units are running cool, then hopefully I just got a bad unit. But I do urge anyone that buys these to check. 100 degrees Celsius is just way to o hot to put in a dashboard, I think.

Here is the wiring for you:

(A/B/C are factory plugs, G is Android HU)

G1 --> A8
G2 --> A4
G3 --> A7
G4 --> A6
G5 --> NC
G6 --> NC
G7 --> NC
G8 --> A5, C6 (if needed)

Thanks. I'll hopefully get back in the dash in October to sort out what I hope is a wire swap. I'd like to add illumination control as well. I've generally been happy with the unit otherwise. The screen could be a bit brighter and some work could be done to make it less reflective.

I fixed the illumination, the orange wire was not connected to the black connector. But it was connected to another white plug. I had to cut it and find another pin from another connector that I had. Now the button light turn on when I turn the light switch

I played with the radio for 30min and it's also hot at the same location as yours. I don't think it's 100celsius as I can still touch it. But definitely hot. Not sure if I should complain to get a replacement like your mentioned with a fan

Mine is also not keeping the time unless I'm connected to wifi or android auto. I checked the wiring and they are correct. The yellow is the constant and plugged to pin #4
