Me - "Don't open the door, you're too close. I'll move mine.
Her - "What are you worried about?"
Me. "Just wait a second while I move my car"
Her - "F*ck you, old man!"
Me - "Just wait!"

(I start backing out)

Her - "Enjoy your midlife crisis, fat-***!"
Me - "Don't forget your Maxi-pads, you f*cking bitch!"

Just another day in my life.
The new CVS on Long Beach Rd. near Mott?

Oh, and in her defense you are a fat *** old man with a mid-life crisis.

You going to OBI tomorrow? I might if the weather is OK.

That is true, but I reserve the right to prevent a low-class, foul-mouthed, Jersey Shore-watching, bottle-blonde, know-nothing, self-important bag of estrogen from putting a dent in my door because she's too inconsiderate to leave enough space between me and her obnoxious, ozone layer-destroying, gas-guzzling, land-based aircraft carrier.

CVS on Oceanside Ave and Merrick Road.

Yes, I will be going to the OBI on Sunday.

As I said at my last FAOMWMLCA meeting (Fat *** Old Men With Mid Life Crisis Anonymous):

"Hi. My name is Bill, and I'm a Fat-*** old man with a midlife crisis."

Okay, I drive down to Iowa from the Twin Cities almost weekly and NEVER, EVER see other Porsches. Okay, I have, but always going the other way and very seldom. So today, wouldn't you know it, just as I was pulling on to I-35 a 996.1 slips by. :-) We had a two hour spirited drive up through southern MN. Nothing dangerous, mind you, just kinda spirited. I kept thinking of a "road ballet" nice smooth driving. Probably doesn't sound like much to you CA guys, but it will be one of my highlights of the summer.

Oh, just to let you know, it was not this car in my avatar and NO speed limits were broken! Really, I swear......

that's my story an' I'm stickin' to it

fun times!

Sounds like a nice trip. There are tons of Porsches (Porschi?) here but I still get excited whenever I see one.

"a 20-ish, 85 pound woman driving an 8,000 lb SUV/Urban Assault Vehicle"

That sounds like the WereWife in her uber-humongous '89 Jeep Grand Wagoneer - except she knows to stay 3.7 miles away from the nearest car in any parking lot (the resulting long walks to/from the store explain how she stays in the sub-100 pound fighting class)

140?

You will find a pedal under your right foot when you are in the driver's seat. Push down.

NO B.S.
there is an older Honda civic that comes to the PCA DE's and he literally runs circles around us...even some of the GT3's - it's NUTZ!

he used to run in a higher run group than me but I moved up and I think the higher group must have been full and he ran in a slower group because we ran together last time out....no shame, the thing blows my doors right off....

Always a fine idea to do 140 on public roads.

Isn't that going to jail speed if pulled over? I get nervous hitting 100 which doesn't happen very often except for a quick burst. Been 135 on at Mid Ohio though.

I was coming back from my parents a while back and had an EG hatch with a few people close to my age (early/mid 20's) in it fly up and start egging me on. I am very familiar with Honda's and helped a friend build a 600+whp EG hatch. I am expecting something like this and that I will be destroyed. However, I remember all the old guys with nice cars when I was younger that wouldnt race, so I decide to oblige and provide them with entertainment. They get on it and I followed, with the Honda having the major jump. I start catching the car and can hear the wastegate dumping. I have now proceeded to close the 3 car lead to my front fender at his door. We both slow down before we get going really fast, the guy rolls down the window so I give the guy a thumbs up, and the girl in the passenger seat proceeds to give me the thumbs down. I caught them and was driving an almost completely stock 996 with close to equal weight in luggage. Why did I get the thumbs down?

"Why did I get the thumbs down? "

1. Don't worry about what other people are thinking.
2. Don't let anyone bait you into doing something that might get you into trouble or worse. (Think "Back to the Future II")

I know what you mean about parking spaces. I went to Staples today to buy a new printer for our house. As usual, I parked far away from all other cars. This was for two reasons - to avoid door dings like I always do, but also because I knew I'd need to put the printer in the front seat. It wouldn't fit in the frunk. Sure enough, when I exited the store, there was a guy parked in the space right next to my car, on the passenger's side. He was sitting there with his window down smoking a cigarette. I didn't say anything - I just moved the car to another spot, loaded up my printer, and left. But I just kept thinking... of all the spots... why did he park there? What a knucklehead...

"of all the spots... why did he park there?"

Just happened again. Parked the car in an empty supermarket lot to run in and grab some milk. I parked as far away from the entrance as possible. Came out 2-3 minutes later and found this...(but no confrontation this time)
