20 as in 20 pages in a post dedicated to a fat Infiniti G37, albeit a technology-filled, (fast) fat G37

Woah there Tonto...YOU'RE the one saying weak!

I think it's ugly (so do many others) some like it - yeah! Don't like what others think whahahahwhahahahah..you're gonna be okay bud.

It's rather evident (for whatever reason) you've decided trump everyones opinion about this cars looks, technology, etc....if it helps you sleep LOL

I did everything but drive the car last year at Goodwood and judging by prior posts, we seem to agree on other cars' beauty - so, no need to throw stones and refer to my disliking this particular car as being weak

wtf, i said i like the looks but never said everyone should admire it like it's the damn mona lisa.

i said respect it, but don't harp on it with insecure comments like it's an infiniti, datsun, it's ugly... straight outta grade school and you all grown **** dudes (i think).

it's a monster performer. respect. i happen to like its looks, too.

Poor Ben.... I seem to agree with him but with a more diplomatic approach.
Looks are always a subjective issue, especially on a Porsche enthuiast forum...no kidding you like Porsche. Looks, brand name aside, for the value the GTR is to be reckon with and you can't deny the facts. The 997 GT3 is currently the best street Porsche ever produced and it got beat by a $80k stock car from factory. Come on....show some respect. (See vid on my other recent Nissan GTR part 2 post)
I was blown away myself and I love my P car.

same here, i love my 911, but am very impressed by what nissan has done.

now imagine if the nissan puffed out white smoke after a spirited run in the your backroad like the M96. image the load of crap it'd get from this very crowd.

totally hypocritical.

Ben, you're spot on with this one. I can't believe the childishness (is that a word?!? ) of people's reactions to a freakin' sports car...it's like they're OFFENDED or something because Nissan didn't design it to their nostalgic specifications. If you don't like it, don't buy one, but let's not pretend that it's not one of the best bang-for-the-buck sports cars available or that Nissan will have ANY trouble moving every one they build.

If you don't like the looks of the GT-R, it's probably not for you, but I'll bet the 20-something crowd that grew up with Playstation and has enough expendable income to upgrade from their modified Evos and STis will be MORE than interested in this "lowly" Nissan.

"But, but...it's got no SOUL [?!?] and it's HUGE and <whine whine>..." Nobody cares--the GT-R has essentially proven itself already and it's barely for sale yet.

If it looked moderately better and they raised price $10k I'd buy one. For now, no thanks..mechanical wonder notwithstanding.
"Respect" - something I could never give unless it had a heart or created by nature!

LOL! Pay much attention to the market lately? Actually "bang for the buck" keeps getting touted - that's all good, but I'd actually pay a bit more if it looked better (if they kept the same price and it looked better, I'd take one tomorrow)(and keep the C4s)

Man, I've been following this thread and now i do not know what i want to do. I was going to get a 05 turbo S but now i am thinking of ordering a GTR for August delivery (been working with a dealer already)

before the GTR had the recent press, I was having a dilemma between:

04 Turbo X50
05 Turbo S
06 or 07 C2S or C4S with aerokit and Sport chrono
03 GT2

I want the GT3 but it costs more than 997 TT
I want the 997TT but it costs more than what I want to spend now.

now a $80k option aka GTR is in the way. What should I do?? here comes another 20 pages i think LOL
