Impressive and 1/2 the price of a 997 TT. Lets hear it.

It's been discussed heavily in the Off Topic section...

they've gotten things right for a while now.

no matter which way you slice it, it's a beast of a car that's legitimately faster in every way than any 911 save for the GT2 which is nearly triple the cost.

the only weakness is the lack of brand prestige (based solely on the insecurities of the market audience; should never underestimate), but that'll change in time. i have mad respect for it, but would i ever buy one? maybe not sure.

i'd love to see one slammed on some 20" BBS LMs or Work VSXX wheels. heck maybe even 21s.

hate is a strong word. can you really hate an inanimate object that can't ever steal your gf/wife from you?

there's always a deep desire to want it if you really do hate it.

i think it looks insanely unique so i give it credit for that. just imagine this thing next to our 911. it makes our cars look like a damn vw bug for real.

It's sure odd to hate something you have mad respect for... kinda like how people hate or love Kobe... how can you hate the guy when you don't even know him? How can you hate the shape of it if you've never seen it in person?

But I get your point... you just don't care for the shape or looks of it. That's fair. But hate? C'mon, dog.

I want to drive one.

It's not hate in the respect "I hate that bloody car", I'm almost convinced it's gonna be fantastic, what's not to like (except for the shape 'imo') price, performance and I'm sure there's more....

You know what I mean mate......

I believe the performance to price ratio is near or at the top of the scale. I do not mind the looks, much like I don't mind the 350Z looks. My desire to drive it would be fueled only by the performance. The car itself, as a whole, does not light my fire. Not even close to the level a "slower" 996-7's does. The Nissan just does not have the intangibles, the all around package. The 996 lines/styling, for example, has the it factor that does not seem to grow old. Maybe is just that bubble *** I love.
The Nissan is far from "sex on wheels" as some of you rennlister put it.
As far as my 996 goes, babe's got back, plenty of junk in the trunk to keep me

Still - I wish Porsche would take note. With ~320 hp in the base models, there are more and more cars out there that match or beat that. Would it be too much to ask for each model to bump up an extra 100 hp?

And my question to you - where does the hp end? It's not always hp my friend but the overall package....

Sure, it's waay fast for the coin, but for me it's fugly and I will never own a 4,000 pound "sports car". Prefer the nimbleness of our 911s, gents.
