A few updates..... i finally got the precat o2 sensors to read.

After bypassing both ground wires i still had no voltage on bank 1 signal wire. So i sent the computer down to ecudoctors. They ran a diagnostic and to my surpise it tested good. Now i dug deaper into the harness, it turns out the pin in the plug was not connecting to the dme pin. I was able to remove a pin from my old harness from cluster plugs which r not the same but they r closer enough to work. After swaping the pin both sides now work. The signal still drops out somerimes but if i wiggle the wires it comes back. I think a previous tech probed the pins too aggressively and they now dont make solid contact. I will eventually repin all 4 of these o2 wires.

Thats leeds me to ask if anyone out there has a old harness with a dme "B" plug, its 24pin and grey.

My bumper and headlights r also getting refreshed. A layer of expel will hopefully keep the headlights form turning yellow again.

Havent been able to do mouch as im battling gout in my big toe, it sucks. I was able to spend a little time making the final repair to my dme plug. I was able to get replacent plug pins with help from Captain Obvious over on the turbo 6 forum.

https://www.bmotorsports.com/shop/pr...oducts_id/2114

The pic looks confusing put is a pretty easy operation to replace the pins.

For some reason that picture makes those tools look very threatening. Poised to attack maybe.

So the bumper was repaired and painted, new demon speed cup splitter installed, engine deck lid painted and 55" wing installed. I also completed the rsr conversion to the center rad.

The rsr conversion is rotating the rad so that u can duct it up over the hood. I bought the chimney part because it was only $150 but the rest of the kit would have been another $1500. I figured since the kit wasnt anything special i could modify my existing set up. I started by flipping the rad over so the ports were on the bottom, it still blead air out fine in the refill. Next i installed the chimney to see what kind of hardware i needed. A quick trip to lowes for some bolts and spacers, the rad was remounted. The passenger side hose needed to be lengthened about 3/4" with a 3/4" brass barbed union from the plumbing supply house.

After fitting the bumper cover i realized the chimney need to be extended about 3"s. So another trip to lowes to get some lawn edging, a quick trim and some pop rivits and the chimney was close. Some weather strippjng from pepboys finished it off. I tested it out with a 100mile drive on sat. Turns out the lawn edging got a little soft and folded in some. So i pulled the bumper again and added 2 spacers and i taped the weather stripping down with flex seal.tape. i also sealed the edging to the chimney with the flex seal tape. All in all the conversion just took some time amd aboit $150.

Chimney

Rough fit

Rad rotated

Boot flipped

Boot motified by cutting the sides back, it folds back nicely.

Front fitted, had to mod rhe rad boots some so they dont quite sit correctly behind the openings but its just a visual issue

Redo and final design

Looks good after a quick bath.

Ready for the track this friday. Just need the nt01s and seats back in.

Im educated as a Mech E but have been owened a family construction business for the last 20yrs. We do custom and unique every day and i carry that into almost everything i do. I did look at opening a shop before i partnered with my brother, but i didnt want to burn out on something i loved to do. So now i just do it for my own enjoyment.

My car was origionally silver but was painted guards red at some point. The front bumper and tailbase were just redone a week ago. Im lucky it still shines up nice

yeah i kind of knew you had to know your mechanical stuff. I am the dangerous engineer, since I have a bs and a ms in industrial i know a bit about the other disciplines but also since I have an mba went towards the management side of things. Anyway all I manage these days is where or what to eat and drink, cheers 🥂.

Looking good!
I see you went with the medium sized wing.
Supply chain issues making it difficult to get the large one?
