Prices Keep Drifting Up

The seller admits that he overpaid in the previous auction.
I was impressed that this kind of average 2001 sold for $33,500.
Was it the Meridian Metallic?

I guess color + 4 + options + low-ish miles + IMS/RMS/clutch all adding up for someone. (Or 2 someones.)
How about this one...anyone else surprised it didn't bring a bit more than the winning bid of $23,750? (1 "minor" accident, same for '01 Meridian C4)

If you're looking for a sorted, low mileage, original paint, 996, with all the preventative maintenance done including the IMSB LN Solution, Skip's UAOS, new coolant tank, tranny service, new water pump, new coils, new oil fill tube and multiple plastic vac hoses, etc, etc, then look at PCarMarket.
My gorgeous 2000 Cab in Mirage Metallic (4 paint cans on Rennbow) with Tip tranny, TechArt Whale Tail in body color, sport suspension, 3-Part Speedline cup wheels, painter center console in body color, silver instrument faces, and a lot more is on the auction block and it ends at 2:00 p.m. today. It may end up costing more initially, but the buyer won't be shelling out another $10K to get all the maintenance up to date after they buy the car. Check it out. https://www.pcarmarket.com/auction/2...a-cabriolet-2/

I WISH that was my garage! It has a couple of lifts with a 1993 928 GTS and a 1988 928 S4. Both in spectacular condition. It's a friend's place and it's where we wrench on 928s... a hobby. Now, back on topic.
Check out the 996 - it needs nothing and everything works as it should, except the crappy CD changer (they sucked when Porsche put them in the 928 - same units). It's hard to confirm, but the TechArt whale tail, painted console, silver face instruments, sport suspension & Speedlines were either ordered by the customer & installed at the factory via the Porsche Exclusive Program option code # 09991 (which stands for a LOT of different optional applications) - OR - they were installed at the Dealer in FL prior to purchase. I just had the wheels professionally refurbished, turned & polished, and reassembled with 24K gold plated bolts to add a little bit of BLING without going over the top. They look spectacular in person!
