Was there any record of IMS done? probably closer to $60k if that's to be done with maybe clutch and anything else. Yikes, that's almost turbo money! Seller did well.

I can't help but to notice all the hype in the comments too.

ETA: here's a 9k mile Targa with less than 15 min to go that's at $42k. Won't be surprised to see $50+ https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...targa-6-speed/

Hype is a good thing 996 deserves some decently good press for a change. 20 years straight of “those headlights” and “ticking time bomb” is a lot of false negative hype to make up for.

Take away all long winter months, and drive just one or two warm, sunny weekend day trips around a small town, and I can easily see how all these sub-10K miles 911’s happen. Providing they’re well maintained (with records) I don’t see a problem with low miles. Just leaves more for me 🤑

Wow! I feel incredibly lucky to have gotten my craigslist C4S when I did back in 2017. No way it would have slipped under the radar today.

Man, I am so glad I bought my C2 for $15k two years ago. I feel like I was looking for everything except a 996 and then when I looked at the 996 I was like there is no way I can pass on a real 911 for $15k just because some other idiots don't like the beautiful 996 headlights. I would have been happy to get another 997 or even move up to a 991, but I'm really glad to be in a 996 and to have joined the community before it was the cool thing to do.

….and it was an Arctic Silver 4s…almost exact specs as my 03 4s except mine is Metropol Blue not black. Got mine in 2019 with under 22k miles. This was a $35k car 2 yrs ago, on a good day! It is nice to be wanted after being laughed at for many years. Not sure what Crow tastes like but many people should be finding out.

How about Road & Track Magazine, who in 2017 fatefully and (in)famously published the instructive diatribe: “Why The 996 Will Never Be Collectible”

I laugh out loud recalling that literal joke now in these early days of $55K 1999’s and $95K 996 Turbos.

And I will laugh even harder when all these numbers eventually double.

And they will 🤑

. Yes prices keep on drifting on but there is all kinds of price pressures. Today I took my wife’s Mercedes to get washed at the dealership here at the MB dealership they do it for free, they vacuum and even wipe down interior. Anyway they were trying to buy the car. Since I had time I was
browsing at the used cars, to make a long story short sight unseen they were willing to give me $33,500 for my 19 F150 that I paid $28,500 for new. At autonation Ford where they normally had over 500 F150, they have less than 50 in stock right now. Also I was playing golden tee and having beers with the guys Monday’s $2.25 draft special. One of the guys works for BMC material supply, Sheetrock lumber anything sky high some items 5 times up in price in 6 months. Anyway I was going to do a bit of Sheetrock work in the house but after I heard the guy from BMC I told my buddy that owns the construction company let’s hold off for a while on that now. It’s great that all these prices are going up on our cars but it will stabilize.
