I was taught to never downshift into 1st gear when coming to a stop.. regardless of what car it is.. stuck with me for 30 years..

first time bidder got cold feet? I thought that was a very fair price for the ride as presented.

Yep, the non buyer loses the 5%. They ding your card the second the auction ends.

They ding your card the second you place a bid. If you don't win, they refund it back.

I worry about the “lugging” in 2nd when I do California Stops. Then again in my 20s I had an ‘81 280ZX 5 speed that I used to downshift into first gear all the time, and that car made it to 235k miles. If she hadn’t been totaled by an 18 wheeler while parked there’s no telling how long that lady would have lived. Still miss that car. Always will (as he opens his wallet to show you an old photo…) 😢

I had an '82 Maxima for 18 years and 245000 miles. Never burned a drop of oil. I now own a 2000 maxima with 175000. Same thing. Great engines. '03 911 Carrera 4S safely in the garage, under her cover, for the winter.
