If they misspell Nikasil is that still a good thing?

It’s an unforgettable car. I drove my ZX for almost ten years. It has been my dad’s and he started driving a 4 Runner and gave it to me. Greatest gift I’ve ever gotten.

$30k might be a little optimistic, but who knows these days. Sounds like it’s been well cared for and has a rebuilt engine… I’ve never been one to let high mileage deter me! I’m sure the buyer will have great car for many years to come.

My local indy has a customer with a 210k mile 996 cab that they tell me drives like new

Mileage doesn't bother me that's why I bought the cheapest 996 coupe in 2019. It had 135k or so. It's at 144 I think and I've only spent $1800 in maintenance keeping it going

FWIW I paid $14k for a 117k mile 996 C2 manual coupe in December 2020.

I think I got one of the last cheap manual coupes

This will make you guys feel better. I bought my 2002 in 2002. Not to mention put the same amount into servicing, maintenance and replacement parts over the past 20 years. Will happily do the same over the next 20 years with an engine rebuild that addresses every issue known to man on our engines, as well as servicing and maintenance costs to keep it running in top form.

Why, because I love my 996. I know every inch of it as well as every quirk and issue. Why get rid of it to take on another car that will take me 20 years to learn every quirk and issue. Not to mention the same costs.

Long live the 996!

I picked mine for $18k, January 21, less they gave me $500 to go pick it up , I only spent $330 in getting the car. The car had 91k miles, a bunch of maintenance was already done. $5-6k in aftermarket mods and original 408s. If you didn’t had to do much that was a great deal. I’m fixing to have my mechanic replace the serpentine belt, this would be the first maintenance item. All I have done is oil changes and upgrades. These kind of deals are gone or extremely difficult to find now.

I always tell my friend squirrel 🐿 that got his in 2017, I should have joined the bandwagon earlier. Wonder if anyone in the group can pinpoint when was the absolute low point.
