I’ve bought a Honda, Toyota and an Acura that were “Made in America”.
All 3 were quality products.

I work for a US manufacturing company that has customers all over the world.

What’s your point?

USA manufactured Hondas are a cold empty shell of what they were delivering from the motherland during the 90s

Okay, just so I understand:

Japanese stuff = bad because of Pearl Harbor

German cars totally fine. WW2 thing only applies to Japan?

The guy who boasts about his Apple stock goes out of his way to buy American so long as the difference is 20% or less than the foreign made product?

Just confirming as I type this on my Assembled in China Macbook Air, after checking my Assembled in China iPhone that is connected to my Assembled in China Apple Airport.

Idaho you got it right it’s just more of the cancel movement
the number one selling vehicle in the world and US the Ford F-150 is NOT 100% made in America
if you want to buy American go vote for a politician who will do it and not be bought

Let me remind you about Pearl Harbor

And USS Liberty while we're at it.

It's not made in jest. We are in the age of global manufacturing and if you want to buy from a certain country, make sure you're doing it for the right reasons.

What am I wrong about? What's the reason anyone ever says they "only buy American"?

I bet those same people are adamant that minimum wage should never breach 8$ an hour

Bruh.

I work in manufacturing and live in America. You're literally calling me a slave who makes your products.

Get a grip dude.

I think there is a huge misunderstanding lol.

I work for the worlds largest Diesel engine manufacturer.

people that worry about their products coming "from China" instead of worrying about the fact that companies are literally using slave labor, is the issue.

someone from Taiwan is just as qualified to assemble your car, and you should be concerned for their well being, not the fact that they're from Taiwan.

I bet no one on this forum cares that their produce is picked by a Mexican that makes 2$ an hour for 3 months before they're shipped back to their home country

This is a global economy, love it or hate it. We need to worry less about location and more about quality

That is not true. My company tried sending LOTS of production to Mexico. We spent 4 years !!!! sending mechanics, engineers and everyone down there to try to get them to learn the machines.
Didn't work.
Production came back

I mean, that's literally not a quote.

What I'm saying is people like to say they only buy American while also fighting against those people from making a living wage
