What a great idea! I am in the process of turning a connecting rod into a door handle for the outside door of my garage. Rather than have a traditional twist type of ***, I chose a lever-type which has proven to be better at opening the door especially with a handful of tools or materials.

I'm putting the finishing touches on it today.. Back to Aircooled mode tomorrow, and I'll clear my workbench of the R40!

Can I get in the queue for one of those tables?

Bill will be showing that picture off like others do of their grandkids. So would I! Enjoy it in good health.

So the R40 is the 996.2 base (3.6l) pushed to 4.0l, correct? I wasn’t looking at these engines for my car, except I’m now drooling at what’s out there: https://flat6innovations.com/service...s-f6i-engines/

I believe to get the R40 designation it is built by Jake personally.

Correct. The R- Series engines follow a completely different protocol here. My personal purchasers only deal with me directly. @808Bill knows the benefits of that :-)
My team manages the regular schedule, and builds exceptionally well, but the R- Series isn't even created on the same property as the normal FSI engines.

The R40 @4.0 is also a completely different engine combination than the Stage II @4.0 that it was derived from.

I've been hearing that a lot lately.. Too bad I'd rather build Aircooled engines myself these days.

Sold two more last week, both were R43s, though.. That'll keep me happy for a while, I think that puts 8 more on my plate.
