Or will I need to just pull it out, and try re-wiring everything in hopes that fixes it?
Are you sure it is turning off? There is a timer you can set so the unit will turn off in x number of minutes after turning off the ignition switch. Also, put an amp meter in series with the battery to see if you are getting current draw after you shut everything down.

Interesting. I'm actually not entirely sure, but I'll take a look in the settings and see if that might be the culprit. As for the amp meter, I'll need to buy one first (which from what I've seen, is a pretty necessary thing with a 996tt)... Thanks!

Another thing is that the ignition switch has a contact that's supposed to show if the key is inserted. If this contact goes bad, the car thinks the key is always inserted and won't power down completely.
You can check: turn the car on, the turn it off and leave the key in the ignition. Open the door and the screen should show "Ignition key not removed". Pull the key out and the message should go away.
Also, if you didn't re-train the windows auto up/down you might try that.

Wouldn’t the pin-outs be the same as a PCM2?

Installation on my USA 2003 996 turbo with PCM2 and MOST was very straightforward. Reused the existing GPS and FM antenna connections. Installed the new microphone; apparently the existing one is not compatible. Didn't need the FM antenna adaptor (911.645.574.55) or fiber optics MOST bridge (996.42.585.00) which are included. The kit didn't have the diversity antenna connectors and DAB receiver which are for RoW only. I put the multimedia interface box in the glove compartment, and ran a 6ft iPhone cable to the center console. I removed the really old iPod in the frunk and left the iPod adapter alone.

Why didn’t you need the Most bridge or FM antenna adapter? Maybe you didn’t have a CD player?

The FM antenna plugs right in. The existing antenna side is black, the PCCM+ side is white. The adaptor is for a 3.5mm type plug.
I don't have the factory CD player, but I have an iPod adaptor. All I did was unplug my 2004 Apple iPod.
